Modeling of Processes of Solidification of Metals under Conditions Imposing Pressure

Article Preview

This work describes the effect of pressure on the release of latent heat of crystallization. It is established that imposition of pressure combined with the cooling rate creates the conditions for formation of metastable structural states, which can be used to enhance and control changes in the properties of metals and alloys.
