In our work, two materials of U71Mn and U75V rail steels are investigated.
Test method The materials of U71Mn and U75V rail steels used in our experiments are supplied by An Shan iron and steel company.
The width of power-wasting area depends on the character of the materials and the loading.
Dimple and glide band are important characters for the plastic deformation in materials.

Abstract.
A tensile strip testing system [2] and a new slider type of test system [3] have been developed to study the performance of several alternative die materials sliding against the advanced high strength steels.
When the wanted pressure force N is applied on the die material and a constant drawing speed exerted on the heated steel strip, the friction force f is produced onto the die material.
