Bilayer Graphene Optical Modulator Based on Metal-Nanoribbon Integrated Hybrid Plasmonic Waveguide Yijing Xu1,a, Canran Zhang1,b, Qilong Wang1,c 1Joint International Research Laboratory of Information Display and Visualization, School of Electronic Science and Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing 210096, China a230228397@seu.edu.cn, bcanranzhang@seu.edu.cn, cnorthrockwql@seu.edu.cn Keywords: optoelectronics, graphene, modulator, plasmonic waveguide.
In order to overcome these shortcomings, researchers considered introducing materials with strong electro-optic (electro-refractive or electro-absorptive) effects, such as germanium (Ge) materials, ferroelectric materials, organic electro-optic materials, III-V semiconductors materials, and 2D materials [7, 8].
To avoid graphene chemical doping by other materials, the Al2O3 layer with a relative permittivity (ɛAl2O3) of 3.04 and a thickness of 5 nm is chosen as the insulator layer placed between the bottom graphene layer and the Si waveguide [12].
The graphene layer can be regarded as a two-dimensional homogeneous anisotropic material and modeled as a surface conductive layer with no thickness.

Introduction Carbon fiber concrete is a kind of material which combines advanced reinforced material with traditional building material.
On the one hand it maintains excellent compressive strength of cement materials, on the other hand the bending strength and fracture toughness, to a certain extent, has also been improved.
However, concrete is the brittle material.

Systems of interest include the study of host-guest interactions in gas loaded framework and porous materials [1], particularly for developing materials for gas storage and CO2 sequestration technologies, and the study of catalysts under working conditions.
Understanding the phase behaviour, kinetics, and stability of these compounds is key to developing hydrogen storage materials for automotive applications.
The gas supply system and sample cell described here add significantly to the beamline capabilities providing a facility for in-situ studies of complex materials under gas pressures.
