Despite on the wide variety of additive manufacturing methods, all additive processes may be divided according to the type of heat source and the sort of feed materials.
For fabricating, as a heat of source, usually use electric arc, plasma, laser or electron beam, and as the feed materials: powder or wire.
The type of heat source and feed materials are selected depending on the specific case.
