Experimental study of squeeze casting of ZK60 magnesium alloy Zhihong GUO1, a, Shuwei QU2, b 1College of Materials Science and Engineering, North University of China, Taiyuan030051, China 2College of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, North University of China, Taiyuan030051, China aguozhihong@nuc.edu.cn, bshuweiqu1222@nuc.edu.cn Keywords: Squeeze casting, Microstructure, Mechanical properties, Pressure, Heat transfer Abstract.
Squeeze casting process is the result of search for materials with improved mechanical properties and new casting processes.
Introduction The automotive and aerospace industries have been the main driving force behind the search for materials with improved mechanical properties and in the search for new casting processes.
Magnesium alloys are among the best light-weight structural materials with a relatively high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent machinability and good stiffness, vibrational absorption, and castability.

Introduction Woven composite materials have long been recognized as being more competitive than unidirectional composite materials for their good stability in the mutually orthogonal warp and fill directions.
There are many studies about the predictions of composite properties, but few researches are currently being carried out on the woven composites materials into which some other materials are inserted for the reinforcement [3].

Besides, tV also depends slightly on the rate of cooling of the material.
This knowledge would help to produce formable materials and to enlarge the strength of the ready elements.
Experimental The materials investigated were binary Fe-Al alloys produced from Fe of 99.99% purity, Al of 99.999% purity.

Wide band gap materials, and particularly Silicon Carbide, due to its exceptional properties, seems to be appropriate for replacing Si-based devices in harsh environment applications.
This material would be also beneficial for other electrostatic devices such as micromotors or comb drive resonators.

This indicated that the defect complex structure in the formation of the thermoluminescence material depends on the sintering temperature.
Introduction The thermoluminescence(TL) characteristics are very sensitive to the impurities and defect structures of the materials, so the same host materials with different elements, concentration or valence of dopants will lead to many differences in TL spectrum and radiation dose characteristics.
Materials and methods MgSO4:Dy(0.1mol%), MgSO4:Tm(0.1mol%), MgSO4:Mn(0.1mol%) phosphors are prepared by high temperature solid state reaction.
This may be related to the TL materials re-crystallization at the higher temperature.
