Abstract: To improve efficiency and veracity of planning ACP, and to adequately utilize some knowledge or experience in ACP and the minds of assembly engineers, we apply CBR to ACP planning and present an approach to ACP planning based on CBR for aircraft. The approach mainly includes three aspects: (1) building case library of ACP and defining QC. (2) designing a algorithm searching ACC, including four key factors: SD of important coordination location; SD of assembly coordination approach; SD of assembly allowance requirement; SD of assembly benchmark; (3) retrieving and reusing ACC. Lastly, as shown by an example about a wing, our approach satisfies good efficiency and veracity of planning ACP and can make use of experiences of ACP.

Abstract: In order to model complex product systems and analyze their whole performance to deal with the coupling relationships between multi-domain,aircraft landing gear selected as the object, unified multi-domain modeling and simulation and for complex product systems was studied. The aircraft leading gear is decomposed as structure, and the mathematical models of the landing gear components are established. The model library of the landing gear components was developed using Modelica-based platform and multi-domain unified model of the landing gear was established. The impact work amount, the vertical load and the stroke are selected as the indexes to simulate and analyze the earthquake resistant performance of the shock absorber.

Abstract: Surviving in an increasing globalization, distribution and flexibility environment, modern manufacturing requires an extremely flexible, self-adaptive foundation capable of dynamic provisioning, coordinating and using infinite manufacturing resources available on demand over large-scale computer networks. In contrast to the conventional networked manufacturing approach, the cloud manufacturing vision (GetCM) introduced in this paper promises elasticity, flexibility and adaptability through the on-demand provisioning of manufacturing resources as a utility by reflecting the basic principles of cloud computing. The discussion is made from technological, functional, economic aspects to provide evidence of the benefits from GetCM in the context of networked manufacturing resource access, provision, sharing and coordination. A primary architecture for GetCM is introduced based on the analysis of key criteria in realizing the vision of a function for cloud manufacturing. Focuses of this paper are placed on the vision and the outline of GetCM architecture.

Abstract: Agent technology is widely employed to construct dynamic, distributed collaborative manufacturing systems in which the individual participating agents contribute to execute different part of the whole manufacturing job, and the final goal is achieved through cooperation. However, the cooperation among agents is based on message exchange, and the system requires additional process control and management mechanism to ensure the operation according to a pre-defined process model. This paper defines the collaborative manufacturing job and related information in domain knowledge model, and applies knowledge based expert system to build software agents for process scheduling and management. The system architecture, components and the implementation methods are discussed. A prototype system is constructed on the basis of JADE agent framework and Jess rule engine and demonstrated with an industry product as a case study.

Abstract: To fully fulfill the modularity and loosely coupled characteristics of P2P semantic mapping paradigm proposed in our previous work[1], a mapping creation method based on semantic discovery is presented to avoid a time-consuming and labor-intensive artificial mapping creation process. This method creates semantic mapping between peer node models by establishing the semantic relations between elements from different peer node models. Semantic relative candidates are captured through the correspondence semantic matching process including concepts matching process, attributes matching process, relations matching process, concepts and relations matching process, and concepts and attributes matching process. To improve the degree of automation for mapping establishment, the hybrid semantic discovery approach is used in the semantic discovery process.

Abstract: Mass customization (MC) is an emergent concept in industry intended to provide customized products through flexible processes in high volumes and at reasonably low costs. The method of configuration is one of important ways to realize quickly product customization. But, in business, particularly through the Internet, a customer normally develops in his mind some sort of ambiguity, when given the choice of similar alternative products to choose. This paper proposes an approach to product configuration according to uncertain and fuzzy requirements the customer submits to the product supplier. Finally, the digital camera is taken as an example to further verify the validity and the feasibility of the method.
