Abstract: The LSCM (La0.7Sr0.3Cr0.5Mn0.5O3-δ) powders were synthesized by glycine-nitrate process (GNP). An anode functional layer (AFL) LSCM was fabricated on an porous NiO-LSCM anode substrate by slurry spin coating. The effect of pore-former, sintering temperature and sintering time on the quality of thin film was investigated. The film with good apparent morphology was obtained when the operating parameters were fixed as follows: the pore-former is ethyl cellulose, the content of ethyl cellulose is 5 wt.%, the sintering temperature is 1000 °C and the sintering time is 4 h.

Abstract: La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O3-d (LSGM) electrolyte materials were synthesized using solid state reactions. The LSGM material film was deposited by radiofrequency magnetic sputtering on La0.7Sr0.3Cr0.5Mn0.5O3-d (LSCM) substrates. The analysis results show the films did not form but formed some “mountains” when deposited for 4 h. While the depositing time extended to 12 h, a dense and uniform film with perovskite phase was obtained, and the element amounts of the film were closed to those of the LSGM materials.

Abstract: The CaO-SiO2-B2O3-Al2O3-La2O3 sealants with different alumina contents were fabricated by high-temperature melting method for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell (ITSOFC). The glass transition temperature (Tg) and crystal temperature (Ts) of the sealant with different alumina content was characterized by TG-DSC. And the composition phase of the sealant was detected by XRD. The resistivity of sealant tested by electrochemical workstation was higher than 22 kΩ·cm2, which met the requirement for ITSOFC. Through the detecting of the wetting angle, the adhesion of sealant and anode materials was very good, and the single cell sealed with alumina tube successfully.

Abstract: In order to discuss the growth mechanism of LSGM films, La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O2.85 (LSGM) thin films electrolytes were fabricated on Si substrates by RF magnetron sputtering. The atomic force microscope (AFM) and X-ray diffraction analyzer (XRD) were used to analyze film surface morphology and phase components. The results show that LSGM films are grown with island structure. When the deposition time increases to 30min, the preferred growth orientations appears, which is (112) crystal face. The longer deposition time is, and the rougher the surface possesses.

Abstract: Perovskite-structure La0.7Sr0.3Cr0.5Mn0.5O3-δanode powder was prepared by glycine nitrate process. The result of characterization indicated that the pore morphology and mechanical property of anode support pellets using starch as pore-forming agent are superior to that of using activated carbon. The maximum value of porosity and specific surface area are 40%, 1.256m2/mg at 10MPa, respectively. The conductive mechanism is small-polaron conductive mechanism at low temperature, but it is metalloid conductive mechanism at high temperature.

Abstract: CaO-SiO2-B2O3-Al2O3-La2O3 system sealants with different B/Si ratios of 0.38~0.82 were prepared by high-temperature melting method for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell (ITSOFC). The glass transition temperature (Tg) and softening temperature (Ts) of the sealant were analyzed by TG-DSC. The complex phases of the sealants detected by XRD were consistent with the calculation results generally. The resistivity of the sealants tested by electrochemical workstation was above 65 kΩ·cm2, and the wetting angle was also calculated. The prepared sealants basically meet the sealing requirement for ITSOFC.
