Abstract: How to judge the rockburst proneness of rocks is one of the key works to predict rockburst. A preliminary approach is made to the relationship between the rockburst proneness and the spectrum characteristic of the rocks by means of experiments in the present paper. The following conclusions are obtained. Firstly, under the condition without loading, there is not any regular relation between the rockburst proneness and the spectrum characteristic of the tested rocks. And secondly, under the condition of uniaxial loading, the spectrum curves of the tested rocks with different rockburst proneness all change with the increase of stress. These curves possess similar tendencies, but different shapes, inflexions and developing rates.

Abstract: This article is undertaken with the results of the detection of structural highway bridge in the west of Ezhou subsidiary line after completion and its analysis of completing and analyzing bridge dynamic Load Tests, in order to introduce three means of tests: the pulse tests, vehicle tests and bump tests. Finally we discuss the advantages and disadvantages, as well as the prospects.

Abstract: To quantitatively evaluate the mechanical effect of plants’ roots on slope reinforcement, this paper probes into the application of composite material theory and finite element method (FEM) to analysis of mechanical properties of soil and soil/root respectively. Soil with herbage roots is regarded as a kind of special composite material, soil is matrix and root is intensifier. Comparing to the test result, the result obtained by composite material model is not perfect but can be used to estimate the effect of roots on soil reinforcement. Moreover, the result obtained by FEM analysis confirms the effect of root on soil reinforcement, especially along the direction of root length.

Abstract: In this paper, a numerical model to simulate the interaction of pile-soil based on the one-dimension stress wave theory is established, which can provide the propagating process and reflection characteristics of stress wave under impulsed load in concrete piles. The simulation is carried on about the stress wave in integrated pile and defective pile, which provide all kinds of the propagating characteristics. It can enhance the accuracy of dynamic test. The validity of this approach is verified through the comparison of the measured curve and the simulated curve.

Abstract: Some shortcomings exist in analysis of GQJS including: camber table generated in construction, nonlinear calculation in seismic analysis, simulation of complex elements such as corrugated steel webs, etc. This paper improved these disadvantages by analyzing practical cases. Some improvements are achieved: camber table can be obtained through adding an additional stage at the last step and distributing load on the entire bridge; GQJS can interact with ANSYS to employ its strong nonlinear analysis; it can discretize complex sections, and some other improvements are also carried out.

Abstract: This paper discusses recent nondestructive testing technology in the application of bridge structure, which focus on common rebound method and electromagnetic induction method. According to the actual measurement problems, the article explains the rebound method and electromagnetic induction method including their advantages and disadvantages, and puts forward the method of avoiding problems.

Abstract: This present paper makes preliminary discussions on the application of Numerical Manifold Method to P- version adaptive analysis and deduces the displacement functions with various orders in elements and the expression of element's stiffness matrix, and codes the program for adaptive analysis with language C. Two numerical examples are studied and their results verity that the method and programs being given on this paper are accurate.

Abstract: Mining boundary directly concerns economic benefits, so its design is very crucial. According to the given news about Yunjing mountain limestone such as geographic location,surrounding environment,topography-geomorphology, ore body occurrences , resources reserves and so on, this paper makes a design of mining boundary for Yinjng limestone following the rule that average stripping ratio is less than economic stripping ratio. This design will provide some guidance for the construction and production of the limestone.

Abstract: In order to strengthen the study on rockburst prediction and inquire the relationship between rockburst proneness of rock and its AE b-value, we select three typical rocks of volcanic, sedimentary, and metamorphic to conduct indoor rock mechanics test. Uniaxial compression test are carried to calculate the rockburst proneness of three kinds of rocks, at the meantime we collect the acoustic emission signal during the whole process by acoustic emission instrument. After analyzing the different AE features of all kinds of rocks, we find that the AE b-values of three kinds of rocks both develop in the beginning of two different loading conditions. The AE b-values of marble and sandstone change in a more stable way, and the b-value of granite decline at the 50% of the peak stress. The b-value of granite is the biggest and the sandstone’s is the smallest.

Abstract: This paper introduces the plan and the process of dynamical and statical load test study which is made on the road bridge. It can validate the quality of the bridge by comparing measured stress&deflection and theoretical calculation.Experimental results show that the computational methods and analytical methods are reliable, The stiffness and bearing capacity of the bridge meet the design requirements. The technology of load test and method of data analysis have high reference value to similar engineering.
