Abstract: The stress singularity eigen-equation for V-notch in a bi-material plate is obtained. A new definition of dynamic stress intensity factor of a crack perpendicular to bi-material interface is put forward, and then is extended to any V-notch in bi-material plate. A formula of stress extrapolation method to calculate dynamic stress intensity factors of V-notch in bi-material plate is obtained. As an example, the three points bending sample with two materials is investigated.

Abstract: Artificial neural network (ANN) back-propagation model was developed to predict the fracture design parameters in reinforced ceramic matrix composites (CMCS).Training ANN model was introduced at first. And then the Training data for the development of the neural network model was obtained from the experiments. The input parameters, the presetting deflection and tip radius of the notch, and the output, the cycle times of fracture were used during the network training. The neural network architecture is designed. The ANN model was developed using back propagation architecture with three layers jump connections, where every layer was connected or linked to every previous layer. The number of hidden neurons was determined according to special formula. The performance of system is summarized at last. The ANN model exhibited excellent comparison with the experimental results. It was concluded that predicted fracture design parameters by the trained neural network model seem more reasonable compared to approximate methods. It is possible to claim that, ANN is fairly promising prediction technique if properly used.

Abstract: The applied investigation of regular fracture for low carbon steel under extra-low cycle inverse rotating bending fatigue was studied in this paper. The principle of inverse rotating bending fatigue was explained at first. The effect of experimental parameters on cycle times of fracture, such as the relations of presetting deflection to quality of blanking and cycle times of fracture were discussed through the experiments. The effects of geometrical parameters of notch, such as tip radius, depth and open angle, on cycle times of fracture were studied. The results show that low carbon steel can be regular fractured through inverse rotating bending fatigue. The quality of blanking is depended on presetting deflection of inverse rotating bending.

Abstract: The application of fracture in three-points bending to blanking of tool steel was studied. Several mechanical models of stress blanking were discussed at first. And then the experiments were made in special equipment of three points bending designed by us. Several problems, such as the effect of wedge on fracture, the effect of support condition on the quality of blanking, the effect of the geometrical parameters of notch on blanking were studied with the help of experiment. The suitable parameters of three-point bending for blanking, depth and tip radius of notch, the ratio of blanking length to the diameter of the bar and suitable support in asymmetrical geometry have been proposed.

Abstract: With the Synchronous Dual Ball Screw Feeding System used in a Milling-Turning compound machining center as the research object. For study the ball screw vibration modal, which using Lagrange established the dynamics equation and using the Lizs series expansion analyzing its various order modal coupling characteristics. Meanwhile using the ANSYS analysis to get the first three order vibration mode diagram and calculate the frequency corresponding to the critical speed for each rank. Through the analysis found that the screw pitch determine the modal coupling axial and corner, the workbench position and load quality changes, the screw vibration frequency also changes. Provide theoretical analysis for the analysis of dynamic characteristics of the next step.

Abstract: By the test of rotational bending for bar of 45 steel with V notch in low cycle fatigue, the bar’s fatigue life is studied under strain-controlled condition. The characteristics of several kinds of specimens' crack propagations are analyzed. The accumulative effect of crack propagation is discussed to find the appropriate load for quick fracture. Based on the theory of continuum medium damage mechanics, the damage evolution model in low cycle fatigue is obtained. The predicted curves and strain-life curves agree with experimental data for medium carbon steel well in this work. These results are very important for the life estimation of medium carbon steel.

Abstract: The article focused on the design of milling cutter for machining helical curved surfaces. First, the characteristics of 3th generation profile in screw compressor were presented; then the equation of touch line between milling cutter and workpiece was constituted based on the envelop principle from milling cutter rolling surface and spiral curved surface; and elementary theories and methods were put forward for designing contour of milling cutter in machining spiral curved surfaces, finally the calculate equation was validated through the machining example by Matlab.

Abstract: Anti-fatigue design is a key content in product lifecycle management and there are many factors to affect the fatigue life of parts. For designing the fatigue life of shaft with a circumferential notch exactly, the influencing factors have been analyzed completely. The mechanics model for assessing the fatigue life of shaft is set up. The assessment method of fatigue life for shaft is set up according to the traditional fatigue life estimation. The effect of wearing parameter to fatigue life is analyzed and the results show that the wear is an important factor to affect the fatigue life.

Abstract: For the shorting of fracture mechanism from the point of high temperature condition, so a new method of illustration, which is carried out under the condition of high temperature, for fracture mechanism will be adopted in this paper. And a more accuracy and more understandability result can be got by this new method. Besides, the performance of TiAl alloys can be improved by making grains refined to decrease the slip plane spacing, which can be got from the mechanics analysis.
