Abstract: Magnesium alloys have attracted scientists’ attention as potential implant materials, due to their excellent biocompatibility and good mechanical compatibility. Potentiodynamic electrochemical technique was applied to investigate the corrosion behavior of magnesium alloy AX53 (Mg-4.76Al-3.17Ca) in Hank's solutions, 0.9 wt% NaCl+0.7 g/L NaHCO3 solutions and 0.9 wt% NaCl solutions at room temperature. Corrosion morphologies of the alloys were observed by means of scanning electron microscope, and the chemical compositions were examined through x-ray diffraction. The results demonstrated that free corrosion potential (Ecorr) of AX53 in 0.9 wt % NaCl solution rose rapidly at initial stage, and then stabilized, whereas Ecorr of this alloy increased continuously in the other two solutions. Corrosion rates in Hank’s solutions were lower than in the other solutions. Intergranular corrosion occurred in these solutions.

Abstract: As magnesium is an essential element for the human body, magnesium alloys are expected to be promising implant materials despite their lower corrosion resistance. The most potential advantages of magnesium lie on both excellent biocompatibility and good mechanical properties. A TiO2 coating had been successfully deposited on the surface of AM60 samples by using a thermal spray technique and was then sealed with sodium silicate. The corrosion behavior was investigated by using the potentiodynamic electrochemical technique. The experimental results demonstrated that the TiO2 coating had a porous ceramic structure. The thickness and micro hardness of the layer reached 40 μm and 886 HV, respectively. After additional sealing with sodium silicate, TiO2 coating on magnesium alloy improved corrosion resistance in Hank’s solution.

Abstract: How to effectively and efficiently integrate regional networked manufacturing systems is very important, and essential for speeding up agile collaboration between enterprises. The paper presents one kind of integrated framework of regional networked manufacturing systems, including software layer, business and application layer and coordination layer. Meanwhile, some key problems are analyzed. Furthermore, the paper studies a running mode of the systems integration. At last, the primary application situation of the framework in Chongqing of China is introduced, as well as some effects acquired.
