Abstract: This article describes experimental work carried out by the Department of Transport Structures of Jan Perner Transport Faculty, University of Pardubice in the laboratory facilities of the Training and Research Centre in Transport.This is an effective change of properties by admixing the additional air-entraining agents, or steel fibers, or combinations thereof to the delivered batches.The final chapter summarizes the laboratory results, including the effect of air content on the physico-mechanical characteristics and durability of concrete.

Abstract: This report deals with long term monitoring of durability properties of concrete using different weight doses of various kinds of additions. Particularly limestone, silica fume as a 50% suspension and blast furnace slag were used. Even though the basic recipe is based on the designed concrete, all the fresh concrete was made with a free-fall concrete mixer in the laboratory. This report deals with long-term monitoring of cement concrete surface resistance to water and defrosting chemicals (achieved 475 cycles). The article also describes results of following tests: determination of concrete frost resistance, depth of water penetration under pressure and depth of chloride penetration. Standard tests of fresh and hardened concrete specimens complement the experiment.

Abstract: This article deals with the description and evaluation of experimental work carried out by the Department of Transport Structures of Jan Perner Transport Faculty, University of Pardubice in the laboratory facilities of the Training and Research Centre in Transport.This is design of high-strength concrete according to three recipes using two different approaches in the design of concrete.The article also describes results of test bodies made of fresh and hardened concrete.

Abstract: This report deals with the description of development of waterproof steel fibre reinforced concrete (suitable for concrete lining of tunnel constructions in particular) in cooperation with the concrete supplier. With regard to newly released documents, two formulas of waterproof concrete supplemented with steel and polypropylene fibres were suggested. The formulas were designed according to different approaches (standards / Austrian Directive), and they differ only in various weight doses of the individual components. With regard to the general requirements for the tunnel lining (fire resistance tests, chemical stability, strength, impermeability and adhesion), strength and plastic properties, durability parameters (depth of penetration of water under pressure, depth of penetration of standing water, frost resistance, resistance of cement concrete surface to water and defrosting chemicals, depth of penetration of chloride) and the resistance to extreme thermal stress were determined in both the formulas. Standardized tests and non-standard testing have been completed.
