Abstract: A series of 13-cis-retinoate aryl derivatives were synthesized from 13-cis-retinoic acid and phenols or arylalcohol with dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) as reagent and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP) as catalyst. Their structures were characterized by 1H, 13C NMR, IR and MS. The crystal of 3a has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and its molecular structure has been confirmed. Compound 3a belongs to monoclinic system with space group P2 (1)/c, a = 22.235 (3) Å, b = 7.4117 (10) Å, c = 15.990 (2) Å, β = 109.253 (3) °, V = 2487.7 (6) Å3, Z = 4, R = 0.0613, ωR = 0.01437.

Abstract: 2, 6-Deoxyfructosazine (1) was synthesized from glucose and ammonium formate and isolated from the reaction mixture by membrane technology. The compound was characterized by HRMS, 1HNMR, and 13CNMR. Thermal analysis of the product showed that it began to decompose at 220 °C, and its weight loss was about 50 % at 320 °C. GC/MS analysis of the tobacco smoke showed that it decomposed to produce 2-methylpyrazine, 2, 6-dimethylpyrazine and 2-ethyl-6-methylpyrazine in the smoke upon smoking.

Abstract: Two series of novel organotin retinoates were synthesized by the reaction of di-n-butyltin oxide with corresponding retinoids in 1: 2 (3a~3d) and 1: 1 (4a~4d) molar ratio. These organotin retinoates were characterized by (1H, 13C, 119Sn) NMR, MS and IR and they presented two type of different structures. The results of their biological activity in Hela, LCC, A549, T9 cancer cell showed that all of them exhibited better anticancer activity.

Abstract: An electrochemical sensor modified with tetra-(N-phenylpyrazole)-porphyrin/b- cyclodextrin/carbon nanotube (TPPyPh/b-CD/CNT) film was fabricated for determination of hemoglobin (Hb) in this paper. The electrochemical behavior of the proposed sensor was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). TPPyPh has been shown preferably for the fabrication of electrochemical sensor. The peak currents decreased significantly with the increase of the Hb concentration in solution. The response mechanism of TPPyPh/b-CD/CNT film for Hb was suggested to be based on the coordinated interaction between Hb and TPPyPh. It showed excellent selectivity for the determination of Hb in PBS.
