Abstract: With the fast development of computer technology and 3D visualization technology, geological modleing has made great progress in recent years. The aim of geological modeling is to realize the integrated and quantitative prediction of underground geological bodies, and provide researchers with 3D display of geological characteristics, consequently. So, 3D geological modeling has become an important tool for people to carry out related studies in every oilfield of in China. This paper analyzes the complexity and diversity of geological bodies and geological structure, because these are the main factors that control the distribution and spread of sandboied and reservoir parameters. Based on these previous analysis, the 3D geological model is established with proper modeling method, and a certain 3D visualization of geological bodies are realized by through-well profiles and fence models. Also, the 3D geological model can provide a reliable scientific tools for decision-making for geological researchers.

Abstract: This paper combined with computer graphics and related spatial information sciences technologies, made use of the software Vega Prime, On the basis of three-dimensional modeling of Nanchang HangKong University campus, built a campus three-dimensional visual simulation software, which can achieve the campus landscape, zoom, rotation, scaling, flight roaming and static and dynamic simulation capabilities, such as the fountain, lake, pedestrians, vehicles, etc. The use of this technology has great importance on school enrollment, employment, education, alumni relations, showing the school strength and other aspects.

Abstract: Mining subsidence often produces significant horizontal and vertical movements at the ground surface, the surface deformation induced by underground coal mining can be predicted by probability integral method, and the surface geo-deformation disasters can be visualized based on GIS components. A three dimensional (3D) visualizing system of surface geo-deformation information is designed and developed with ArcGIS Engine and C# in the study. According to the surface deformation-predicted data induced by underground coal mining in Guobei Coalmine of Huaibei mine field, the extents and degrees of ground deformation disasters are visualized in 3D views for surface vertical subsidence, slope, curvature, horizontal displacement and horizontal strain based on the GIS-developed application platform.

Abstract: Random sequences generated by different logic functions play an important role in cryptography. The structure and the special properties of the logic function has been one of the most active areas of research. In order to study the random sequence and its related logic functions, many models have been established, and different advanced tools are applied to make complex data visualization. In this paper, sample logic functions are transferred into variant logic expressions to form a set of measurements. Using selected measurements, a 3D visual model is proposed. Selected 3D visual results are shown their intrinsic 3D spatial characteristics of relevant logic functions respectively.

Abstract: In this paper, a new method for 3D visualization of radar electromagnetic environment is presented. This method is based on derivation of the radar equation, from the perspectives of pitch and azimuth angles to achieve 3D modeling of radar coverage through discrete subdivision, and the radar model possesses self-adaptability to different levels of detail. Our method ensures that the model shape conforms to the radar’s attributes. Compared to conventional methods, the experiments show that our method has better efficiency, adaptability, and accuracy in accomplishing the radar 3D modeling and rendering.

Abstract: Rock of Xujiahe formation in Sichuan basin is characterized by very low porosity and permeability, forecast the spatial distribution of fractured reservoir is the key of success in exploration. Combine logging and seismic data, analysis multi-attributes, optimizing post-stack seismic data processing method, we selected amplitude, average energy, chaotic reflection and amplitude weighted instantaneous frequency (AWIF) to study seismic response. The fractured reservoir have weak amplitude, low average energy, low AWIF and high chaotic reflection. Then with the aid of 3D visual technology, research data set, and recognize that some data, like amplitude and impedance etc, should emphases low value, others like chaotic reflection and auto-fault extraction(AFE) etc, should stand out high value. Base on these, form a suit of technology predicting fractured reservoir by using 3D visualization method. Take amplitude, chaotic reflection and AFE data as case, depict the spatial distribution of fractured reservoir. The results can clearly exhibit the spatial distribution of reservoir

Abstract: Nowadays, medical image processing and three-dimensional visualization have become a very important support for doctor diagnosis and treatment planning. It’s a novel technology that using ITK and VTK to process and display medical images in VC++. In this paper, the Curvature FlowImageFilter class of ITK libraries is used to denoise and smooth the medical images. The MC algorithms is used to reconstruct the volume data in the VS2008. Immediate Mode algorithms and Stripper filter algorithms are adopted to speed up large data processing. The experiment results demonstrate that using the MC algorithms and the acceleration algorithms base on the VTK can implement 3-D visualization efficiently and satisfy practical applications.

Abstract: Multibeam sounding system can be used for the acquisition of high-precision digital seabed terrain model, it brings new opportunities for the development of 3D marine GIS (Geographic Information System). But its massive point cloud data poses great challenge for its storage and visualization. This paper proposes a new storage strategy and gives an optimized visualization method specifically for the storage strategy. First, we take advantage of the point cloud coordinates regularity to sort these points according to certain rules and efficiently organize it through multiple spatial index. Vertically, a multi-level pyramid index is established. We generate a number of levels data with different level of detail and different scale, namely the static level of detail (LOD) model, in this way, a trade-off between appropriate redundant storage space and efficient data retrieve is achieved. Horizontally, for all levels of the pyramid model, we establish a tiled quadtree index, and generate a cache image for each tile. Secondly, an optimized visualization method in accordance with the storage strategy is also designed. Based on the current area of interest and data dispatch algorithm, we calculate the corresponding tile location and directly load the cache image to lessen the workload of complex spatial data operation, reduce the rendering burden of spatial data. We can generate customized dynamic cache with specific area of interest and scale, to improve the visual effect, too.

Abstract: GPSRTK and depth sounder technology provides a foundation for outdoor digital sampling of waterway dredging quality inspection. The gathered sample data can be used by Surfer to develop a 3D underwater topography model. Surfer can create 3D visualization through 3D space analysis, makes precise calculation of underwater earthwork load possible. Based on the Hangzhou-Ningbo canal dredging project, this paper describes the applied work principle and procedure of Surfer in quality inspection of waterway dredging. The technical aspect of cross section surveying and quality inspection is also analyzed. Surfer can adopt Trapezoidal Rule, Simpson’s Rule and Simpson’s 3/8 Rule to calculate volume. This paper performs error analysis on the results of each algorithm and proves the accuracy, reliability and efficiency of Surfer in waterway dredging quality inspection.
