Abstract: Abstract For complex and difficult geology, it is difficult to design right cutters for TBM in the conventional ways. So the successful experiences and data accumulated are very useful in TBM disc cutters design. CBR is a reasoning methodology that exploits similar experienced solutions, in the form of past cases, to solve new problems. This paper proposes an AHP-Based CBR model that overcomes the difficulty of measuring experience for determining the relative weight of attributes by the analytic hierarchy process. By comparing, the model using the analytic hierarchy process was more accurate, reliable, and explanatory for solving new problems using experience from previous cases.

Abstract: Considering the whole life cycle of fish processing industry, a complex cleaner production (CP) evaluation indicator system is established by applying the method of analytic hierarchy process (AHP), including a target layer, a criteria layer with 7 indexes and an indicator layer with 26 indexes. The system contains both quantitative and qualitative indicators, which can help enterprises to evaluate their CP level and find CP potential for improving the environmental performance.

Abstract: Grinding machining quality contains machining precision and grinding surface integrality. The factors influencing grinding machining quality have fuzzy characteristics. For example, the magnitude and measure methods of grinding surface roughness have fuzzy uncertainties. The grades of the machining quality are vague, and there is no definite boundary between “good” and “bad” machining quality. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) combined with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation technique is used to evaluate the grade condition of the quality in this paper. Considering the fuzziness of the factors, a two-stage fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is proposed to evaluate the grinding machining quality. In light of different reliable degrees of different kinds of fuzzy operator models, the weighted average method is used. The membership degrees of the evaluation factors are determined by experts’ knowledge and experiences. The factor weights are calculated via the AHP method. Certain synthetic importance of each stage evaluation is presented through weighted sum of the relative important degree. Examples of conventional external grinding machining illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Abstract: According to the evaluation standard for greening building, an assessment system is proposed to evaluate the green building degree. And the weights of each evaluation index are determined by AHP method. Applying the methods of expert estimations, a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is constructed for the building green degree. Combining with living examples, the green degree of a building is calculated based on this method.

Abstract: Integration of the wireless LANs (WLAN) and 3G networks, such as Universal Mobile Telecommunication Service (UMTS), has been intensively studied recently due to their complementary characteristics. In this paper, we design and implement a flexible protocol stack architecture which can support concurrent transmission via multiple radio interfaces. Furthermore, the multiple services with various QoS requirements are differentiated and transported in the best wireless access network which is determined by the proposed network selection criterion-- Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), in the heterogeneous wireless network. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed concurrent transmission scheme improves the network utility and provide the QoS services among the multiple wireless access networks more efficiently.

Abstract: Task driven approach is widely used as an evaluation method for intelligent vehicle, however this approach may lead to many teams using the conservative approach to complete the task. Although the competition task can be completed, it has deviated from the goal of technological development actually. A cost function-oriented quantitative evaluation method is proposed in this study. The time to complete each task and the quality of each indicator are considered in the evaluation method. The cost function-oriented quantitative evaluation method guides the intelligent vehicle’s development in the "low-cost index" (i.e. high technology) direction. The evaluation results in the 2010 Future Challenge: Intelligent Vehicles and Beyond (FC’ 2010) competition showed that the proposed method can quantitatively evaluate the overall technical performance and individual technical performance of unmanned vehicles.

Abstract: As time goes by, hazard rate of the society would increase if crime prediction was not implemented. Based on objective factors of offenders and victims characteristics, AHP method can be established to get a quantitative and qualitative analysis on crime prediction. Crime prediction is a strategic and tactical measure for crime prevention. According to AHP analysis, two prediction models of the optimal predictive crime locations are put forward. Standard Deviational Ellipses Model and Key Feature adjusted Spatial Choice Model were formulated to account for the anticipated position with various elements from AHP method. These models could be applied in a computer simulation of situation tests of the series murders. Besides, applying those models in certain real case demonstrates how the models work. Through models comparison, the results are summarized that Key Feature adjusted Spatial Choice Model is more conducive in confirming the guilty place. In conclusion, the suggested models, including detailed criminal map, are easy to implement.

Abstract: This paper, based on the strong sustainable principles, is derived from Jinan Citys statistics yearbook and statistical bulletin materials. The author constructed the environmental indicator system and socioeconomic indicator system respectively with the help of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and calculated Jinan Citys sustainability indices for 2003-2010. The results show that the environmental sustainable development level in Jinan city was average in 2003-2005 and 2007; however, in 2006, 2008-2010 it achieved a high level. The socioeconomic sustainable development level in Jinan City was high in 2003-2007, and was very high in 2008-2010. The results of the analyses suggest that Jinan City should improve its air quality and strengthen its environmental investment. It is also urgent that Jinan improve citizens livelihood, especially for housing and pension insurance projects.

Abstract: Different from the other distribution center location methods, there are new characteristics in distribution center location during earthquake disaster responses. In this paper, we investigate the factors impacting the location of distribution center during earthquake responses, and propose a decision-making model based on improved AHP framework for this issue. The improved AHP is extended to automatically calculate large scale judgment matrices by the crosstie model. This decision-making model was successfully applied in the simulation case of Yushu earthquake responses in 2010. The results show that the proposed decision-making model is reasonable.

Abstract: Community is not only the cell of society, but also the basic component of city. To improve urban public disaster prevention and mitigation system must start from the safety construction of community. In the way of introducing the classification of urban community, summarize and analysis the public disaster prevention and mitigation resources in the community, sum up the relationship between public disaster prevention and mitigation resources and common disasters in community, construct evaluation system of community disaster prevention and mitigation resources. Using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and expert scoring, establish all evaluation indexes weight coefficient. Ultimately, assessing and grading single hazard prevention resources, on which base put forward an algorithm of overall evaluation of disaster prevention and reduction resources.
