Abstract: A distributed control system applied to small humanoid robots is designed in this paper, using ARM embedded processor and modular function approaches. The system designs plenty of hardware circuits to promote operability of system and reduce difficulties in development. This design solves the problems of high cost, low scalability, weak autonomy of small humanoid robot control system, providing a reliable experimental platform for further study. The feasibility of this control system will be verified through walking experiment of biped robot.

Abstract: According to the user’s high technical requirement in papermaking process, advanced control system has been supplied to satisfy the performances. Meanwhile, energy consumption and cost are considered. The computer integrated process system (CIPS) of process industry which could effectively integrate enterprise resource planning, management execution system and process control system information is necessary and suitable for papermaking process. Here based on the analysis of pulp and paper process, we put forward the papermaking process computer integrated process system and try to obtain the optimal control project and execution system. And a novel optimized application project based on SIMATIC PCS7 distributed control system proves the excellence of computer integrated process system.

Abstract: Aimed at Neural Network can approach any nonlinear system with arbitrary accuracy, the frame of distributed NN decoupling system are proposed to decouple the MIMO nonlinear system. In this paper, we designed and finished the Distributed Control System based on ABB’s Freelance 800F, and collected experimental data to model the thermostatic heater, then we have carried out the mathematical model by means of MATLAB dynamic simulation. In sequence, we trained the neural network controller in MATLAB. When the decoupling is completed, we used controller to control the MIMO nonlinear system in DCS. Experiment result shows that it is conscientiously feasible and deserves to be widely applied in the process of controlling industry.

Abstract: Principles and characteristics of internal model control (IMC) are illustrated. It has a simple and general structure such as that of a PID controller. Applications of IMC based on single loop PID controller tuning in main steam temperature of boiler in power plant were investigated. It can also become easier to achieve in a distributed control system (DCS) via control module configuration. It was applied in boiler of power plant to tune the main steam temperature PID parameters. The application results demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.

Abstract: In the distributed control system, to make sure the running of the system bus is long-term, stable and reliable, we design a new intelligent redundant serial bus as the system bus, and it will be introduced in this article. The new intelligent redundant serial bus (IRSBUS) is able to be configured into a dual redundant synchronous bus or a quadruple redundant asynchronous bus, and its redundancy is hot redundant that means two groups of the four signals are working together. We mainly design a redundant IP core, a redundant protocol and the byte format. The IP core of IRSBUS consists of the following major modules: Intelligent Signal Router, Signal Transceiver, Lines-connecting Status Detector, Synchronous Controller (Master), Synchronous Transponder (Slave), Redundant Results Decider, Interrupt Generator, Dual-port RAMs, Control and Status Registers, Master / Slave Redundant Logical Controller. The redundant protocol and byte format provide an extremely strict timing to synchronize the master-slaves and transmit the information. We show that our design allow to compare the redundant data to arrive at the correct results. It also provides a way to regroup the remaining signal lines into a system bus when one or two of the four signal lines are broken. And then it detects the lines-connection status every 100 milliseconds.

Abstract: This paper describes a distributed control system, which is based on PIC microcomputers. The hardware of this system included industrial personal computer, RS232-RS485 converter, control circuit, motor driver and so on. The PIC microcomputers on control circuits are used as basic control chips. The software of system is developed by Visual C++, communicates through the RS485 bus. The human-machine interface is developed, which is intuitive and friendly. Test result shows that the control system is effective and reliable.

Abstract: The paper proposes and develops a distributed control system of ceramic material shuttle kiln control of MVC pattern based on the current ceramic material shuttle kiln control in which exist plenty of disadvantages such as wasting energy sources, low efficiency, bad precision and long periods, etc. Firstly, it introduces the basic theory and the system structure graph of the MVC pattern, and discusses in detail the design layer frame and structure characteristic of control system based on MVC pattern. Finally, under the environment of the Delphi, this paper illuminates the material realization of the MVC form of the total control system with adopting the multi-thread shared same buffer method. Practice development shows that the MVC pattern can separate easily the interface of operator and computer, operation logic and data disposal, which makes the total control system have the fluent trait, the spread trait and the easy maintenance trait.

Abstract: This paper presents a new distributed control system used in torque rheometer. It can overcome shortcomings in traditional control system of torque rheometer and optimize overall performance of the system. The measurement and control system was designed by modeling method. The enhanced PID control algorithm and integration separation digital PID control algorithm were adopted to improve dynamic response characteristics. The Modbus communication protocol was selected as data link layer protocol of communications network. The monitoring software was developed by Visual Basic. A large number of experiments demonstrate that the stability of system is improved greatly and maintenance and extension of instrument become easier.

Abstract: In recent years, there has been a growth in the amount of data used to improve the production processes. As a result, the cross communication and interaction between components has increased and became a key property of modern production system. To reduce the cost of communication and to increase the efficiency of these systems, middleware technology such as CORBA, COM+, Java RMI, and Web services are being used. Middleware is becoming more and more the essential factor in improving current Manufacturing Process Automation and Control Systems, and their applications have witnessed an increased demand in real time Manufacturing Distributed Applications. In this paper, we propose publish-subscribe middleware architecture based on the Data Distribution System (DDS) open standard. The proposed architecture aims to seamlessly integrate the existing heterogeneous manufacturing systems, such as SCADA system, DCS, PLCs, and databases; and improve the communication and real time data delivery among system components; also, it provides a QoS support layer between the communicating components. Furthermore, the proposed architecture is implemented and evaluated by intensive experiments.

Abstract: Greenhouse temperature control is a key factor which affects crop growth, and the traditional way of temperature regulation already cannot satisfy the requirements of modern greenhouse: high precision, rapid acquisition and response. The 32-bit EasyARM1138 single chip microcomputer is taken as the main control chip to implement multiple canopy temperature acquisition and control. AT89C52 single chip microcomputer is applied as assisted control chip to implement single greenhouse temperature control. DS18B20 digital temperature sensor is used to collect temperature information in the greenhouse. Through buttons, LCD monitor, GPRS SMS alarm module, and light alarm system with LED and buzzer sound to realize human-computer interaction. Through analyzing of the present condition of greenhouse environment, greenhouse temperature parameters are adjusted to achieve the requirements of crops growth and cultivation development to provide the most suitable temperature environment for crop growth, and increase crop yield and quality.
