Abstract: The stabilization, tracking and pointing systems are essential features of modern fire control and surveillance systems. The criteria for precision stabilization may vary from a few hundred micro-radians to few nano-radians for achieving jitter free image depending upon the application scenario. The Line of sight (LOS) is stabilized by mounting the optical payload on a gimbal platform and designing the control system around them. The paper describes a choquet fuzzy integral based control algorithm developed for LOS controlling and stabilizing application. In this approach, q-measure is estimated to simplify the computation of λ-measure that aggregates the information from the weighted inputs. The output of fuzzy rules, which are formulated by defining the product of weighted inputs are required to compute the fuzzy measure in the form of Choquet fuzzy integral.

Abstract: In this paper, a fuzzy-based dynamic resource allocation scheme for load balancing in cloud computing (FDLB) is presented to growth of the service type and user number in the mobile networks of the higher performance is required in service provision and throughput. Besides, the estimation of workload is difficult and time consuming, and the result causes an unstable system and unnecessary message passing overhead. The structure of the FDLB is composed of the design the load distributed agent (LDA). It is observed that the FDLB exhibits better adaptability, robustness, and fault-tolerant capability, thus yielding better performances compared to other existing algorithms.

Abstract: In order to set up a controller of good dynamic response for the laser tracking system, special requirements of laser tracking system to its controller are analyzed in this article. One is exact position track and the other is rapid and steady speed response. The overall design strategy of the control system is put forward on the condition that the startup torque and Coulomb torque difference a lot and the system works at relative low speed (typically -10rpm to 10rpm). It is pointed out that the PWM method is effective to reduce system startup torque and increase steadiness of startup. In position loop a fuzzy PI controller is designed to decrease the position overshoot to 1.5mm and increase the smoothness of the tracking. The experimental results show that the tracking control system can accurately and rapidly follow movement of the target.

Abstract: The muscle of the body’s joint always appears in the form of a pair of antagonistic muscles. Based on the establishment of the humanoid elbow joint’s mathematical model and focused on the force distribution of the antagonistic muscles, a force distribution system consisted of a fuzzy controller and a force distribution planner is proposed. The fuzzy controller is used to ensure the control performance of the whole system and the force distribution planner to implement the force distribution of the flexor and extensor. The simulation show that in the case of confirming the good control performance, the system can get different force distribution results through regulating the algorithm and parameters of the force distribution planner. Among these,we can find a more suitable and energy-efficient way to distribute the force.

Abstract: One of the most important rules in electric power system operation and control is Load Frequency Controller (LFC). Many problems are subject to LFC such as a generating unit is suddenly disconnected by the protection equipment and suddenly large load is connected or disconnected. The frequency gets deviated from nominal value when the real power balance is harmed due to disturbances.LFC is responsible for load balancing and restoring the natural frequency to its natural position. In this paper, PSO-fuzzy logic technique for Load Frequency Control system was proposed. PSO optimization method is used to tuning the input and output gains for the fuzzy controller. The proposed method has been tested on two symmetrical thermal areas of an interconnected electrical power system. The simulation results are carried out in term of effectiveness of the frequency time response on its damping and compared it to common PID controller. The results show the performances of the proposed controller have quite promising compared to PID controller.

Abstract: This article focuses on modeling and intelligent control of car following behavior. The car following behavior has been modeled by nonlinear equations, and this model has been validated by measured data of different drivers and cars and has been simulated in MATLAB software. An ANFIS controller for car following behavior has been designed and simulated in this paper. The simulated relative distance between the LV and the FV and relative speed measured by the radar sensor are sent into the ANFIS controller to simulate the car following performance. The simulation results show that the ANFIS controller has better effect than the real drivers to obtain objective of setting the least relative speed and safe distance. The presented controller can be used in analyzing and correcting driver’s behaviors, developing cooperative systems and safety systems of driving, intelligent car and traffic flow.

Abstract: Many scientific papers deals with the usage of fuzzy rules to implement PID control. Fuzzy models, especially the Takagi-Sugeno-type, have received significant attention from various fields of interest. It is very often very difficult to determine all the parameters of the Takagi-Sugeno-type controller. In this paper we present optimization of Takagi-Sugeno-type fuzzy regulator parameters by genetic algorithm. Implementation of universal fuzzy P/PS/PD function block implemented to the PLC Simatic S7 300/400 is introduced. Mamdani model is used as comparative model. Parameters of Takagi-Sugeno-type fuzzy regulator are determined by genetic algorithm optimization from comparative regulation surface.

Abstract: Aiming at effectively overcoming the disadvantages of traditional evolutionary algorithm which converge slowly and easily run into local extremism, an improved adaptive evolutionary algorithms is proposed. Firstly, in order to choose the optimal objective fitness value from the population in every generation, the absolute and relative fitness are defined. Secondly, fuzzy technique is adopted to adjust the weights of objective functions, crossover probability, mutation probability, crossover positions and mutation positions during the iterative process. Finally, three classical test functions are given to illustrate the validity of improved adaptive evolutionary algorithm, simulation results show that the diversity and practicability of the optimal solution set are better by using the proposed method than other multi-objective optimization methods.

Abstract: In this paper, an intelligent garbage can model-based differential evolution algorithm (IGCMDE) is proposed to simulate human social organization by its population system, based on the differential evolution algorithms (DEs) and the logical framework of the garbage can decision model with group meeting. When faced with issues such as unclear goals and technologies, participators turnover, etc., representatives of all participating parties will communicate, argue, compromise and adapt with each other, in order to find a solution to the problems. Group meetings are conducted to choose the best solution in a more objective, reasonable and efficient way. At last, we used IGCMDE to optimize the fuzzy controller with fuzzy logic control theory. We present a method for daylight blending control with two novel contributions: 1) smart luminance sensing; 2) daylight luminance control. The proposed method was implemented as an intelligent lighting system in a parking tower environment. The result demonstrated that IGCMDE possesses an excellent search performance and the intelligent lighting system showed significant energy savings.

Abstract: The paper proposes a comparative analysis of brushless DC (BLDC) motor based photovoltaic (PV) water pumping system with two different controllers namely the proportional-integral (PI) and the fuzzy. The controllers are designed such that the maximum power is extracted from the PV source with the incremental conductance (INC) algorithm. The controlled output is given to the boost converter, which acts as the maximum power point tracker (MPPT). It is followed by the three-phase inverter supplying the BLDC drive system. The constant speed operation is achieved via the spacevector pulsewidth modulation (SVPWM) technique in order to obtain constant throughput from the centrifugal pump. The performance of the system is analyzedwithMatLab/Simulink.It is shown that the fuzzy control provides better response then the PI control.
