Abstract: This paper presents a Shrapnel-borne meteorological exploration system based on MEMS sensor for atmospheric pressure, MEMS sensor for temperature and GPS receiver, and introduces the working principle and composition of the system. This system is carried to given region by shrapnel, and explores the meteorological parameters of temperature, barometric pressure and the speed and direction of wind. A data transfer will transport the data acquired by sensors to user terminal. Then user terminal calculates the speed and direction of wind with GPS data by coordinate transformation algorithm, shows all the results on display interface and draws change curves. Test shows that user terminal can display the results rapidly and accurately. The performances completely meet the design requirements. This system is based on Modular Design, so it can meet the different requirements of different environments. With the use of MEMS sensors, this system contains the characters of economy, high stability and low power consumption.

Abstract: Transmission line intelligent distribution and management system is the latest systematic product for optical network intelligent distribution, with the function of detecting, warning and information processing, whose purpose is to realize the delicacy management of transmission line resources and solve the problems appearing in the process of using resource management system., such as input complexity, function singleness and so on. The thesis introduces different functions of each module in this system, puts forward the solutions to this systematic function and provides some realization codes.

Abstract: At present, the environment control system is mainly used in large and modern greenhouses in China. It is hard to popularize among ordinary farmers because of some reasons such as inconvenient acquiring information, etc. In order to improve the existing problem, a wireless remote greenhouse environment monitor system was developed based on GSM and GPS. Thus the user can obtain real-time temperature and humidity of different greenhouses at any time by sending short messages to the control system so as to know the crop growth. The system, easier to move and operate, can be expanded according to practical need and is reliable and effective through field test.

Abstract: According to the difficulty of monitoring special patients in hospitals as well as their inclination to getting lost when going out alone, the design of a personal medical monitoring and positioning system is presented based on GPS and GPRS. The system receives navigation and position information continuously from a GPS satellite through GR-87 receiver module, and real-time sends the information of vital signs and position to the monitoring center in the hospital or a GPRS cell phone terminal with SIM300 module through GPRS network, so as to perform long-distance medical monitoring and location tracking to a patient, with such advantages as high positioning precision, good real-time performance, low power consumption, etc.

Abstract: In order to manage the tug better, efficiently and securely dispatch tug operation, and meet the real-time property, accuracy requirements, the GPS chip of embedding RFID for locating and tracking would be used. Through the wireless Radio Frequency technology and Ethernet, it can complete conveying information between tug and harbor dispatching room, then structure the tug locating and tracking information system. It can real-timely acquire and monitor the tug parameter of position, desired track, operating condition and so on. According to that, it makes real-time dispatching. Efficiently achieve the management in harbor pass, operation and assignments all the time and space.

Abstract: The two kinds of statistical process control algorithms for detecting the small displacement shifts in the monitoring data obtained by the Global Position System (GPS) receiver are comparatively studied in this paper. The Shewhart and Cumulative Sum (CUSUM) charts are applied to the simulated and the experiment GPS coordinates, and their effectiveness in detecting the small and large persistent shifts are evaluated. The result shows that the Shewart chart is useful in detecting large shifts in GPS real-time data, but it can’t find small shifts. The CUSUM chart appears to be an ideal candidate for detecting the GPS coordinate changes in deformation monitoring since it can detect the small and persistent shifts hidden in a GPS time series data.

Abstract: The Niger Delta Region, although the back bone of Nigerian economy, has been neglected by successive governments over time. There are no good schools, no health facilities, no water and other facilities within this area. The problem of the area is compounded by lack of good transportation system. This has been a hindrance both for security agencies and the people in the restive area. A good transportation system should ensure that people, goods and services move speedily, conveniently, safely and cost effectively. To have an efficient ground and water transportation system needed in this area requires adequate and accurate Geo-spatial information. In this paper, the benefits of adequate transportation system in the Niger Delta Region are highlighted. The roles of Geo-spatial data and Geo-spatial information system in the planning, development and management of an efficient transportation system are discussed. The paper also examines Geospatial Data infrastructure (GDI) in the development of the Niger Delta transportation sector Master plan, with data generated for Edo and Delta States presenting case study scenarios.

Abstract: The localization GPS electronic chart apparatus system adopts 32-bit embedded processor as the controller, which greatly enhanced the processing speed,reduced the volume of electronic chart apparatu, improved the stability, greatly reduced the cost.In the design of system control software, adopted non-real-time operating system; file management using FAT16 file system of DOS to manage 16M file storage space, so, we can easily create and delete documents in an embedded electronic chart apparatus.In addition,used non-standard digital vector charts, making the charts data format and processing display project no different,which improved the security.

Abstract: Using GIS(Geographic Information System), GPS(Global Positioning System), and GPRS(General Packet Radio Service), an digital mining control management system in an open pit has been designed and developed. A linear programming model is set up in a practical application. By the model, the system can automatically draw up production plan of ore blending well every day. The system can monitor and dispatch open-pit trucks and shovels well, and can play back their historical paths. It can monitor and control the process of mining production in real time. The system can also count the number of trucks’ delivery and shovels’ loading automatically. Experiments on real scenes show that the performance of this system is stable and can satisfy production standards of ore blending in open pits.

Abstract: An AGPS (assisted global positioning system) positioning method was researched with polynomial approximation in this paper. Linear positioning errors were found through the analysis of an AGPS positioning algorithm with mobile station (MS) clock error. These errors were engendered to induce a bias of reference moment. The value of an objective function can be quadratically related to the deviation of reference time. Thus, the objective function curve was fitted with three reference time values, and the lowest point of curve to amend the reference time is determined. This method can eliminate linear positioning error.
