Abstract: The effects of cold deformation and low temperature aging on the microstructural stability of a peak aged (PA) Al 6061 alloy were investigated by means of DSC and microhardness measurements. During aging at a relatively low temperature (100 °C) of the PA material, a small increasing of the mechanical properties was detected, which was explained by the formation of atomic clusters, GP zones and β phase. The response to the aging treatment of the cold deformed materials depends on both the level of the cold deformation and the aging temperature. During aging at relatively low temperature (100 °C), in contrast to the 75 % deformed material that shows a small variation in their mechanical properties, the mechanical properties, of the 30 % deformed material, are almost constant. This was attributed to the higher driving force of the recovery reaction in the heavily deformed material. In the other hand, aging at relatively higher temperature (140 °C) of the heavily deformed material, leads to a fast softening due to an increasing of the recovery kinetics.

Abstract: A low-temperature precursor sulfuration route has been established to prepare metal sulfides with different nanostructures during the synthesis of nickel sulfide. The advantages of the low-temperature precursor sulfuration route were testified by the synthesis of different metal sulfides ( lead sulfide, zinc sulfide and cobalt sulfide). It offers a novel path to the preparation of other metal sulfides.

Abstract: This paper deals with the fatigue behavior and its statistical properties of SM490A steel at various temperatures, which is utilized in the railway vehicle. For these goals, the tensile ad fatigue tests were performed by using a servo-hydraulic fatigue testing machine at three temperatures: +20°C, -10°C and -40°C. The static strength and fatigue limits of SM490A steel were increased with decreasing of test temperature. The probabilistic properties of fatigue behavior are investigated by means of probabilistic stress-life (P-S-N) curve and they are well in conformance with the experimental results regardless of temperature. Also, based on P-S-N curves, the variation of fatigue life is investigated and as the temperature decreases, the variation of fatigue life increases moderately.

Abstract: The low temperature magnetizations of TbGG have been systematically investigated from the average effect of the nonequivalent crystal sites. Our calculated results show that the different nonequivalent crystal sites have the different contributions to the magnetization. The step-like appearance of the low temperature magnetization curves in TbGG originates from the average effect of the magnetizations of six nonequivalent crystal sites, not from the near-crossing of the lowest energy levels of Tb3+ ions.

Abstract: Acoustic emission signals were collected during the tensile process of Q345R at the normal and low temperatures. The signals were analyzed by the single parameter analysis, distribution analysis and correlation analysis to result the acoustic emission characteristics of Q345R in the normal and low temperatures.

Abstract: A novel counter electrode has been fabricated at low temperature using nanoporous carbon (NC) with about 35 nm pore size as based catalysis materials and silver conductor paste (SCP) as connecting adhesive. The efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) employing this SCP/NC electrode reaches to 5.91%, which is 15% higher than that of DSCs with NC electrode. The improved efficiency is attributed to the enhancement in the fill factor and the short circuit photocurrent density. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy reveals that all of charge transfer resistance, ohmic serial resistance and Nernst diffusion impedance of SCP/NC electrode decrease compared with NC electrode. Especially, the efficiency of 5.91% is comparable to that of DSCs with Pt electrode.

Abstract: Workmen for the wastewater treatment advocated wastewater reusing in the conference which the technically development and strategic research of China are main topic.Biofilter is useful as tertiary biofilm reacter.However, it often accrues clogging during cold period and needs frequent backwashing. Backblowing and partial backwashing can slow it. The average flux rised from 2.65 m3/m2.h to 2.84 m3/m2.h. The removal of NH3-N of cocurrent-flow and counter-flow biofilter can be improved. The parameter of partial backwashing depended on the rate of expanding.of counter-flow biofilter.The effect of different backblowing parameters on flux of cocurrent-flow biofilter would be described in this paper. From the parameters studied the bioifiltration time is the most important factor affecting the flux. The results show that the best flux is obtained when backblowing was made for 60s every 12h during 72h where the air pressure was 63 m3/m2.h and water pressure was 25.2 m3/m2.h.
