Abstract: The fundamental frequency is the inherent attribute that describes the structural mechanical property of rigid pavement. A finite element model of 45 m x 15 m x 11 m is given by means of the ANSYS software. With the method of modal analysis, the pavements structure was analyzed with 8 different thickness of surface course, 6 kinds of modulus of surface course, 5 different thickness of base course, 5 kinds of modulus of base course, 5 different thickness of subgrade and 8 kinds of modulus of subgrade, and correspondingly, the fundamental frequency was calculated . The results show that thickness and modulus of surface course, thickness and modulus of base course have less effect on fundamental frequency, which decreases with increase of modulus of subgrade, but increases linearly with the growth of thickness of subgrade, these two factors have the main influence to the fundamental frequency. The research provides the theory basis and reference to the detection of the pavement in airports.

Abstract: Due to the complex structure and nonuniform material of unbonded flexible pipes, an elastic thin-walled cylinder model and a helical steel strip model were established respectively to simulate different layers based on the specific structure form and parameters. Quasi-static incremental load was adopted to identify the structural parameters which had significant effects on the axial, radial and bending behavior of the pipes during the complex deformation. Sensitivity of these parameters were also analysed. The conclusion in this paper could provide guaidance for the design of unbonded flexible pipe.

Abstract: The cable-stayed suspension bridge is a novel composite structure with great overall stiffness and the capacity to span a long distance, which has been proposed for the design of some extra long-span bridges. To take further research on mechanical properties and behavior of this type of structure, the proposed preliminary design of a cable-stayed suspension bridge with a main span of 1800m is analyzed. The three-dimensional nonlinear analysis method is used to investigate systematically the influence of various principal structural parameters on the static and dynamic behavior of bridges. These parameters include the rise-span ratio, the suspension-to-span ratio, the constraint condition of the stiffened girder, the number of auxiliary piers at side spans, the layout of suspension cables, and the elastic modulus of suspension cables. Meanwhile, the selection of the rational values of these parameters is discussed.

Abstract: Through the analysis of present research and application situation of binocular stereo vision system, the paper indicates an opinion that the structural parameters of system are crucial to the measurement accuracy of system. This paper focuses on several parameters to discuss the effect on the measurement accuracy, such as the distance of baseline, angles between optical axis and baseline, projection angles and so on. According to measuring principle and mathematical model of binocular stereo vision system, through deriving formulas and drawing curves by means of MATLAB, the impact that different structural parameter has on measurement accuracy is analyzed. Finally, the correctness of theoretical analysis is proved by experiment and the research result is summarized.

Abstract: In order to improve the 6-DOF parallel machine tool motion accuracy and reduce error, the impact of the error mapping for Structural Parameters of Parallel Machine Tool is analyzed. The fixing platform and the moving platform of 6-DOF PMT are linked by six variable-length rod with the kinematic pair (hooke hinge or hooke hinge). By changing the length of the drive rod, causing moving platform position and attitude change, a variety of motion can be simulated and emulated. If the cut tool is installed on the moving platform, the various surface parts can be machined, shown in Figure 1. The above figure shown, in order to obtain the moving platform trajectory, we need measure hooke hinge space position of the fixing platform and the moving platform[1]. There are 6 hooke hinges on the fixing platform and there are 3 parameters (x, y, z) on every hooke hinge. There are 6 hooke hinges on the moving platform and there are 3 parameters (x, y, z) on every hooke hinge. So a total of 12 hooke hinges positions (36 parameters) need be measured. Due to the actual processing, assembly and measurement error, the actual measured values and theoretical values for 36 parameters can not be a complete match and lead to the moving platform errors. This paper will study the 36 parameters on the impact of mapping errors. Firstly, the error mapping formula between drive rod and the moving platform for PMT is established, secondly the performance evaluation index of the error mapping is deducted, and then the relationship between 36 parameters and the error mapping index is established. At last, to the different types of PMT structures and structural parameters, the ideal structural parameters with the aid of the performance evaluation index are optimized.

Abstract: In order to improve the severe service conditions and balance the needs between the better filling capacity and longer die life, a new flash structure named by resistance wall was introduced into knuckle hot extrusion dies. Focusing on filling capacity, the maximum deformation load and the highest die surface-layer temperature, different die structures, such as flash slot structure, traditional closed die structure and resistance wall structure, were comparatively analyzed by FEM simulation. It is shown that the resistance wall structure can be extensively used in many applications thanks to its comprehensive performance.

Abstract: The direct energy band gap in the range of ~1.5eV and the high absorption coefficient (~105cm-1) makes Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) a suitable material for fabrication of thin film solar cells. Thin film solar cells based on CdTe (~ 1cm area) achieved efficiency of 15.6% on a laboratory scale. CdTe thin films were deposited by thermal evaporation technique under vacuum 2×10-5mbar on glass and stainless steel (SS) substrates. During deposition substrates temperature was kept same at 200C for all samples. The structural properties were determined by the X-ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns. All samples exhibit polycrystalline nature. Dependence of different structural parameters such as lattice parameter, micro strain, and grain size and dislocation density on thickness was studied. Also the influence of the different substrates on these parameters was investigated. The analysis showed that the preferential orientation of films was dependent on the substrate type.

Abstract: Wettability of solid surfaces is one of very important properties, which is governed by both the interface energy and the microstructures. In the paper, four microstructure surfaces were designed such as square concave, column concave, square convex and column convex. The contact angle and wettability of solid surfaces with regular microstructures were discussed for five contact angle models such as Young, Wenzel, Cassie, Cassie-Baxter and Wenzel-Cassie models. Then, the impacts of interfacial energy and microstructures to wettability were analyzed. The study shows that the character of hydrophobic or hydrophilic is decided by the interfacial energy between solid and liquid, and the wettability can be changed by adjusting the parameters of microstructures, such as the ratio of transverse spacing and diameter α, the ratio of longitudinal spacing and diameter β, the ratio of the deep and diameter γ or the ratio of soaking deep and diameter λ. And, the convex microstructure is more propitious to hydrohobic surface than concave microstructure.

Abstract: Typical woven fabrics for bedding were selected from the market in this paper. Based on test and analysis results of the structural parameters, the relevant performance indicators were measured in consideration of mechanical properties, comfort and style of fabrics, and the test data were systematically integrated and the relevant quantitative data were ultimately obtained. Meanwhile, Fabric Assurance Tester was used to determine the style of the fabrics and tested indicators were chosen, following with normalized statistics and processing. In addition, SPSS software was applied for the correlation analysis between fabric properties and structural parameters through the correlation and partial correlation analysis.According to the results of correlation coefficient, partial correlation coefficient, the paper revealed the intrinsic link between the fabric’s structural parameters and its properties. As to the main factors of the structural parameters which greatly affect the performance of the fabrics, they will provide scientific evidence for the design and development of fabric.

Abstract: When the optical pickup actuator moves, crosstalk force will be generated due to the non-uniformity of the spatial magnetic field, which will consequently affect the dynamic performance of the servo system in optical storage systems. In this paper, the spatial magnetic field model of the actuator is established and the concept of crosstalk degree in both tracking and focusing directions are defined. The relationship between the crosstalk degree and the structure parameters of the actuator such as the height, width and length of the permanent magnet are further analyzed, based on which the optimal structure parameters of the actuator are obtained.
