Abstract: According to China Association of Automobile Manufactures statistics, China’s automobile production and sales ranked first in the world in 2009. Although China has become a big country of automobile manufacture, the research and design capabilities of automobile is still weak, especially in styling design. How to use computer aided technology to promote the development of car styling design is the aim of this article. CAS (computer aided styling) may be is a good choice. First, comparing the different among traditional styling design process, CAD design process and CAS design process, this article points out the benefits brought by CAS; Second, this article explain the details of CAS design in car styling design; Finally, this article analysis the character of CAS which is important to apply CAS correctly. If Chinese auto companies could apply CAS well in car styling design, the industry of China automobile will enter a new phase.

Abstract: Small hydropower stations as renewable resources of energy have noticeable potential in the world and with increasing energy demands, using such potentials is a need especially in many developing countries. The major problems of installing the new small hydropower stations are their high specific cost expressed in $/kW installed capacity and maintenance expenses. Part of the solution of these economic problems is to substitute the conventional turbines by simple and inexpensive machines such as reversible pumps. In this present work, an axial pump is simulated in reverse mode by computational fluid dynamics using different turbulence models and Characteristic curves of the reverse pump are obtained for each turbulence model and are compared with experimental data. The results show that Spalart-Allmaras model is preferred for investigation of operation of the axial reverse pump. In the next step, the effects of blades position and impeller size reduction on characteristic curves are considered. The results show that the axial pump can be easily run as a low-head turbine. Also it can be applied in the wide range by combination of blades angle adjustment and impeller size reduction. But the efficiency of turbine mode is low.

Abstract: The paper analyzes, comparative, the resistance to the cavitation erosion for the X5CrNi18-10 classic steel, with that provided by two another steels, processed experimental, with approx. 0.1 % C, 24% Cr, 18 % , approx. 10% Ni and wich was mechanically hardened by vibro rolling. Cavitation tests were performed on a vibrating device with piezoelectric crystal, in the Laboratory of Hydraulic Machines in Timisoara ( LMHT ), determining the characteristic curves of the variation in time of the mean depth erosion, MDE (t ) and mean depth erosion rate, MDER (t). By mechanical tests and by metallographic investigation is warranted increased erosion resistance after cold plastic deformation and minimization the effect of reduction its to higher proportions of delta ferrite , due to higher chromium content. Conclusions detached, after the investigations, serve designers and processors by stainless steel to chemical composition optimization and to manufacturing processes, in order to increase the lifetime of hydromechanical equipment, such as hydraulic turbines, pumps and throttle butterfly valves on pipelines forced, etc.Keywords: mechanical hardening, characteristic curves, resistance to cavitation, microstructure, chemical elements, mechanical properties

Abstract: The paper presents a new procedure for bronze surface hardened by using intensive heating with laser beams (over 103 °C/s) which superficially melts the material. Afterwards the whole mass of the piece is subjected to blast cooling. For the used experimental conditions it was obtained a fine quenching microstructure with high harnesses, till 350 HV 0.5. The resulted structure has extremely fine grains which give an excellent resistance to cavitation erosions, because the dislocations movemement was heavily suppressed. Secondary, the residual compression tensions existing in the superficial layer delay the initiation of the cracks. Tertiary, the effects of bubble implosions are attenuated as a result of the holes realized on the surface by the laser beams treatment. Finally, the power of the laser beams upon the increase of the cavitation resistance was put into evidence.

Abstract: Based on the parallel bonding mechanism of IC chip die designed, the static stiffness model is established. Static stiffness characteristic curves are drawn in whole working place through Matlab software, the infection which created by the left/right driving parts and connecting rods are analyzed. It proves that the parallel bonding mechanism designed meets the working requirements of IC chip die by these characteristic curves.

Abstract: Abstract. The vibrating equation and the moving stiffness model are created for the Parallel Bonding Mechanism of the IC Chip Die designed. Its moving stiffness characteristic curves in whole working space are obtained though Matlab software and analyzed in this paper. Based on these characteristic curves, it proves that the moving stiffness of the Parallel Bonding Mechanism designed meets the working requirements of IC Chip Die.

Abstract: The rigid-flexible hybrid modeling of the wind tunnel test platform is established by means of ANSYS and ADAMS for more accurate analysis of the motion performance of the test platform in this paper. We get the kinematical characteristic curve based on the three working conditions of the pitching motion, yawing motion, rolling motion of the test platform. According to the characteristic curve indirectly reflects the rationality of the design configuration. So as to provide fundamental basis for the precision dynamics simulation analysis and make the real physical prototype are offered.
