Abstract: The theory analysis of the (7, 4) binary hamming coding and decoding algorithm in spread spectrum communication is given and implemented with C language programming. The verification testing is implemented on a HD 111 communication principle platform. The theory results are in consistent with that of the experiment. It shows that (7, 4) binary hamming coding could rectify one error symbol which would emerge in the signal transmission process.

Abstract: A coupled model for predicting phase transformation, temperature, and distortion of AISI 5120 steel occurring during heat treatment process has been developed. The phase transformation kinetic models were made using Johnson-Mehl-Avrami equation and the additivity rule based on theoretical thermodynamic model and experimental dilatometric data. Especially, the transformation strains measured during cooling were converted to the volume fraction of each phase for the kinetic models using a relation between transformation strain and atomic volume change. The heat transfer coefficients in quench media were calculated by inverse method of the heat transfer equation to the measured surface temperature history. To predict the temperature and distortion accurately, the thermal and mechanical data were used as a function of temperature and each phase based on the experimental data. The coupled model for phase transformation, temperature, and distortion has been implemented in the commercial finite element software ABAQUS as user subroutines. The calculated results by the coupled model were compared with the experimental ones.

Abstract: If the nodes in a multi-media data transmission system can not meet low power in traditional wireless sensor networks (WSNs), it will greatly reduce the network life cycle. On the basis of quantized compressive sensing (QCS), this paper presents a communication model which can analyze the impact of uniform quantization coding and Hoffman coding on image’s transmission and reconstruction. According to the prior probability of image measurement, this paper proposes a novel scheme for non-uniform quantizer. The simulation results show that the multi-media data transmission system can obtain images effectively and reduce the distortion by using the proposed scheme.

Abstract: From flat-plate flexural vibration and radiated sound power discussed the inherent relationship between panel vibration frequency of distributed mode loudspeaker and geometric parameters, impedance matrix of soundboard and studied the relationship between soundboard structure of polyester foam sandwich panel and distortion of loudspeaker. Experimental results showed that distortion increases as the cell size and compress modulus, cell ratio, cell open ratio and thickness increases, but the sound sensitivity decreases as the compress modulus increases.

Abstract: Weld modeling technology and control and mitigation techniques of residual stress and distortion have made a significant progress in the past decade. Q-Weld as the latest development in weld modeling technique can provide a solution in an extremely short time compared to a traditional thermo-elastic-plastic analysis. Three distortion control techniques, transient thermal tensioning, low stress non-distortion and in-process rolling, are discussed in this paper.

Abstract: Welding is a reliable and effective metal fabrication process which is widely used in industries. Localized heating during welding, followed by rapid cooling generates residual stress and distortion in the weld and base metal. In the last few decades various research efforts have been directed towards the control of welding process parameters aiming at reducing the residual stress and distortion. In the present paper the distortion in fillet welds and the affect of the distortion control techniques on the welded joint are studied. The welding is done with different process parameetrs and under different surrounding conditions. Due to this the distortion level in the T Joint was measured and observed. The study is necessarily aimed at developing the prediction and controlling techniques for distortion in welded T-joints. Abstract: Constructing on the gob, especially the steep coal seam gob, will put the new buildings in jeopardy, because the gob and its overlying strata is already distorted and damaged with time passing away[. In this paper, it takes the steep coal seam (75°) gob area in Xin Jiang province as the research object, and applies the theory of mining subsidence to analyze and evaluate the stability of the field, combining with the actual investigation. The result demonstrates that the mined-out area is in a state of instability and requires reinforcement[2].

Abstract: Brazing of cemented carbides to steel bodies gives rise to the development of complex stress states and distortions which influence the fatigue behaviour of the parts. It is quite important to estimate the residual stresses with numerical methods whose agreement is to be guaranteed with experimental characterization of the brazed parts. In this work FEM simulations and X-ray as well as neutron stress analysis were used to examine the residual stresses of brazed samples. Joints with different geometries and dimensions made of cemented carbide and different steels showing different phase transformation behaviours were investigated.

Abstract: The relation between the Electro Motive Force (EMF) and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) was compared and verified by magnet arrangement. Using Halbach array, thrust was more increase by change of magnet arrangement. Moreover, the variable trend of cogging and THD by magnet ratio and magnet form change was checked.
