Abstract: Using black insulation slurry as manufacture material, the high emitter-isolating-layer was fabricated on the cathode plate. The high emitter-isolating-layer which possessed good insulation performance was composed of many parallel emitter-isolation-stripes, which the bottom cathode electrode would be exposed in the center of the emitter-isolation-stripe. The carbon nanotube paste was prepared onto the cathode plate to form the field emitters. And the field emission display panel with high emitter-isolating-layer was demonstrated, which the better field emission property including the large emission current and stable electron emission was confirmed.

Abstract: The authors report an approach to the fabrication of a periodic magnetic array using photosensitive polyimide-barium ferrite nanocomposite. These patterns are shaped by a some-like imprint technique, under the interactions between the magnetic nanoparticles and permanent magnetic mold. Scanning electron microscopy has been used to characterize the magnetic array and well-defined structures with magnetic arrays are obtained. The diameter of each dot is as small as 52um. The presented concept leads to a realization of a magnetic array, which offers advances in achieving micrometer-scale patterns with a very low cost and simple process.

Abstract: This work deals with a novel processing method that combined extrude with laminate molding for preparing polymeric graded material (PGM). The variations of inhomogeneous property were generated by altering the feeding speed and/or weight ratio of the components as well as changing the order or numbers of the folded layers. Three modes of polypropylene (PP)/ talcum powder (talc) flat PGM (signed with T1, T2, T3) are fabricated successfully by using this new technique. The preparation, structure and property of the resultant PP/talc graded composite were investigated. Results indicate that the composition, morphology and properties show a gradient variation along their thickness direction of the flat PGMs.

Abstract: This paper proposes an environmentally friendly energy-saving high-quality laser stamping foil film with particular seam-free feature. The whole idea is to meet the country's high-end anti-counterfeiting technology, consumer products packaging appearance, high-end gifts demand for the target material. The State Quality Supervision and Testing Center (Guangzhou) detection results shows that it includes many merits such as functionality, security, reliability, ease of use, flexibility, stability and other indicators, the performance meets or exceeds the requirements of enterprise technical conditions.

Abstract: BiFeO3 is a very promising multiferroic materials, which can present ferroelectric and antiferromagnetic properties at room temperature (Tn=643 K, Tc= 1103 K). Because the fabrication methods of BiFeO3 films play a significant role on their properties, various processing techniques have been developed in recent years for the preparation of such films. In this paper, the main fabrication processes on BiFeO3 thin films were reviewed, including two important chemical processes, chemical solution deposition and metal-organic chemical vapor deposition, and two commonly applied physical processes, pulsed laser deposition and radio-frequency magnetron sputtering.

Abstract: The newly developed non-woven filter media are composed of randomly oriented fibrous fibers from lignocellulosic biomass. The aim of this study is to investigate the feasibility of incorporating chitosan solution in fibrous filter media made from lignocellulosic biomass. The wet lay-up method was adopted for filter media fabrication. Diluted acetic acid was used as medium to dissolve the chitosan powder. Chitosan solution was applied to the fiber using two different deposition techniques, namely, spray method and addition method. The tensile test demonstrated that the filter media using spray method outperformed a filter media made from by addition technique. From the FT-IR spectrum, when the chitosan was added to empty fruit bunches fibers, the absorption peaks at around 1642 cm-1 are clearly identified that showing the presence of amine group in the fibers. The changes observed in the spectra indicated the possible interaction of functional groups between chitosan and cellulose in the fibers. The newly developed non-woven filter media integrates the functions for both the deep filtration and mechanical screen, thus it will be an alternative medium in oily wastewater treatment industry.

Abstract: Using insulation slurry as composite material, the wall-shaped support spacer was designed and fabricated on the cathode back-plane. In the fabrication course of support spacer, the high effective screen-printing technique was employed to prepare the insulation slurry layer on the separation layer surface of cathode back-plane. And the conventional sintering process was utilized to solidify the printed insulation slurry layer subsequently. Many insulation slurry layers were sintered and stacked to form the support spacer arranged in equilateral triangle form. The carbon nanotube was used as field emitter, and the field emission display panel was fabricated and sealed with glass frit, which possessed good field emission characteristics and better image uniformity.

Abstract: In this manuscript, a muscle-like linear actuator based on the combination of Bi-IPMC linear actuator unit was developed focusing on the applied requirements in the biomimetic artificial muscles using as the actuators. Subsequently, the muscle-like linear actuator was mainly fabricated by two segmented IPMC film, which is obtained through a special process and the actuation performance of the muscle-like linear actuator was further experimented by the testing platform. The results found our actuator behaved a high displacement performance, and this kind of muscle-like linear actuator has a potential value in the engineering practice.
