Abstract: The development of robot technology and AI makes it possible using outdoor mobile robots inspecting substations instead of manual work [. To solve the technical problems of substation patrolrobots navigation, a general scheme of substation intelligent inspection based on the red guide line is put forward. The 2-D bar code records main inspected equipments information, aiding patrol robot positioning navigation. The system utilizing LabVIEW virtual instrument software with IMAQ Vision module has been successfully written and related to pictures image processing, detecting and reading 2-D bar code. It has practical significance to improve the efficiency and to enhance the portability and flexibility of substation inspection scheme.

Abstract: Adopting high-speed line scan industrial camera, through window function of the software to capture interested areas scanning by linear structured light, through image processing algorithms and splicing technique to extract 3D feature information of the detected object surface, combined with the camera calibration technology, calculated the three-dimensional coordinates of the detected object, and real-time displayed intuitive pseudo color map, monitored picture signal and weeded out unqualified products. Compared with similar systems at home and abroad, the system are real-time pseudo color graphics display, open system and lower cost.

Abstract: An imaging procedure for developing a 3D X-ray micro-radiography system has been developed. The idea arose due to the necessity of performing internal inspection and testing nondestructively on a small specimen. The image is generated from multiple x-ray radiograph that were acquire from multiple angle of view. Each radiograph was taken for every one degree. The total angle covers up to 360 degree so that a set of 360 image were collected for each specimen. Then, for those images were rendered to be a 3-D image. A set of image processing procedures were applied such as background subtraction and noise reduction. From the experiment, this manner is very useful for assessing a small specimen nondestructively prior to perform a tomography inspection.

Abstract: An optical non-contact measurement system for micro-scale 3D profiles is developed and analyzed in this research. The core concept of the system is based on Shape-from-Focus method. The methodology and the process of the measurement will be explained in this paper. Briefly, corresponding digital images were taken at different heights with predefined step intervals. The properties of images were enhanced by image processing techniques including discrete Gaussian filtering, histogram equalization and high-boost filtering. Finally, the degree of the focused image was quantified by using Sum-Modified-Laplacian algorithm. The height of each pixel was determined with Gaussian Interpolation. 3D geometry model of the specimens can be reconstructed. This system was verified that it can work on the specimen manufactured by laser beam. Analysis of precision will be revealed and the comparison with other measurement methods will be discussed later.

Abstract: The area of applications of dynamic texture is increasingly wide: video surveillance, transaction systems, medical application and video synthesis. The paper presents an indexing model in large databases of dynamics texture using the co-occurrence matrix features. The data from the video sequence that represents the dynamic texture are loaded in a 3D matrix. The application of the co-occurrence matrix is performed for each frame of the data parallelepiped covered in 3 directions. This enables/facilitates the integration of the temporal features of the dynamic texture in the mathematical description of the behaviour. Additionally, we use more translations to compute the indexing vector from the 2D+T space of dynamic textures.

Abstract: This paper describes an eye naked 3D display cube, which can track a viewer’s position and render the stereo perspective scene in each display surface. The viewers can look the details of 3D models and scenes from any viewpoints. It seems as the real 3D objects lay in the display cube. It supports multi-viewer interactive in one scene. The viewers also can see the position of each other in own screen. They can co-operate in the same scene, although their field of view is independent of each other. The technologies of 3D perspective rendering, marker tracking and image processing are used for the 3D display cube.

Abstract: To remove the noise and interference signals in the blind detection of FH signals from HF channel, this paper gives a FH signals extraction method based on the improved symmetric GLCM, by combining the time-frequency analysis with the threshold method of GLCM. Firstly, the paper defines the calculation of improved symmetric GLCM on the direction of frequency and time. Then, the noise threshold is estimated based on the noise probability in the improved GLCM of frequency and the FH signals from the improved GLCM of time can be extracted by using the noise threshold. Simulation results show that the method can extract integrated FH signals under low SNR without any prior information, and that the estimation of noise threshold is more accurate and stable. Furthermore the method is simple with a small amount of computation, which is easy to be applied in the engineering.

Abstract: In this paper, a novel control system is introduced for a micro process system for the manufacturing of nanoparticles. An impinging-jet micromixer is used as the microreactor for mixing two fluid phases. In order to increase the scalability of the manufacturing system, a high speed image acquisition and processing subsystem is utilized to provide real-time visual feedback. Jet slope and shape are calculated automatically to evaluate the outcome of the mixing. A control algorithm consisting of a feedforward and feedback components is then implemented to control the pump’s flowrate to deliver guaranteed performance even with the presence of external disturbance and system uncertainty. Experimental results show the feasibility of the proposed solution.

Abstract: This paper proposed a design of algorithm of an excimer laser coaxial observation processing system which can automatically track preset line. With using of the Visual C + + image processing technology and the least square method, the XY axis in both directions of processing platform can obtain accurate processing displacement, and stability control platform for real-time tracking a straight line center. Processing system can acquire the coordinate of processing place where can get the distance from the centre of image in order to achieve real-time tracking.

Abstract: This paper introduces operational path planning system of visual industrial robot, which could be applied to arc welding, cutting and gluing. It depicts a calibration method of camera coordinate. It gains environmental messages via the method of image acquisition. It uses the method of image procession to process the signals acquired. It fulfills robotic real-time control and offline programming. Practice has proved that this system has high repeatability precision, which can meet the challenge of arc welding, cutting and gluing, and also meet the needs of production line.
