Abstract: Combining the Guangdong LNG station project, the gas station consumption instrument air equipment were analyzed, and the calculation of gas station instrument air system gas storage tank capacity, according to the Guangdong LNG station, the special circumstances, calculate separate switching valve gas storage jars. Through the analysis of the calculation process and result, relevant design wind instrument system is put forward.

Abstract: It is feasible to obtain low temperature that can liquefy the natural gas using supersonic separator in a liquefaction process. This paper represented a design method of the supersonic separator used in natural gas liquefaction plant, including the design of the Laval nozzle, the design of the rectifier straight segment and the design of the diffuser segment. The size of each part and the appropriate shape can be gotten by the theoretical calculation. The design results of an experiment liquefaction device using supersonic separator is given. The work is helpful for the natural gas transportation in remote and low production gas field.

Abstract: Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a kind of clean and efficient energy. On one hand import LNG may diversify the energy structure and safeguard energy security for energy consumers, on the other hand the expansion in LNG export may well develop natural gas resources, increase foreign exchange income and promote national economic for energy producers. Therefore, LNG trade is becoming a new hot spot in the global energy market. In this paper, LNG consumption market structure was analyzed based on the popularization ratio of urban gas and consumption concentration of GDP worth of ten thousand yuan. LNG market present situation in China was explained accurately and reasonably.

Abstract: In order to evaluate the potential environmental burdens of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a transportation fuel quantitatively, the life cycle impacts of the differences between a LNG cement mixer truck and its diesel counterpart were compared through the CML2001 assessment model, the results showed that although with a higher ADP elements, the LNG mixer’s overall normalized environment impact is obviously lower than the diesel mixer.

Abstract: The CCHP system based on energy cascade utilization can get very high energy overall utilization efficiency. When LNG is used as the primary energy of a CCHP system, the higher efficiency can be obtained if the cold energy of LNG is recovered. Three CCHP systems integrated with LNG cold recovery facility are presented which are suitable for different situations. The thermodynamic calculation and analysis of the system consisting of combined cycle generating electricity, the LiBr absorption refrigeration units, the cryogenic Rankine cycle generation system and the cooling medium system were carried out. The results showed that the energy utility efficiency of the electricity generating was 34.78% and the total energy utility efficiency was up to 86.49%. This indicates that this technology have the potential to be employed in the industrial applications.

Abstract: Since imported LNG is increasing gradually in China, the research of LNG cold energy utilization becomes quite urgent. A novel air liquefaction process with LNG cold energy utilization is proposed in this paper. With the Aspen plus software, this paper builds the simulation model of the air liquefaction process by using LNG cold exergy and analyzes the effects of the key parameters on the performance of the process. The results show that the power requirement to produce liquid air with LNG cold energy utilization is 142.9kWh/t, lower by 67.4%than that for the conventional air liquefaction process, and the specific exergy consumption of liquid air production is 310.3kWh/t. With LNG cold energy utilization, the energy cost of liquid air production in this proposed process is 48.7% lower than that of conventional process. The optimal conditions are reached through the analysis of economic effectiveness.

Abstract: A novel two-stage ethylene Rankine power cycle that can recover cold energy of LNG is represented. A core device of multi-stream cryogenic heat exchanger (MSCHE) is used in the cycle to decrease the temperature difference of heat transfer process and increase the energy efficiency. The two-stage expansion which means there are two evaporation processes which works at about-100°C and-55°C respectively. This can make better use of the cold energy of LNG. The available process parameters were investigated and given by process simulation with HYSYS software. The results show that the cold energy and exergy efficiency is 19.67% and 27.15%, respectively. The ethane could also be used as working fluid in this cycle and similar output power could be achieved.

Abstract: This review summarizes the research status of LNG including bulk usage status of LNG, fire risk in transport or storage, research work and progress about the behavior of LNG spills; rollover; pool fires; and explosion. The paper analyses the LNG widespread bulk usage trends in application as a new type of energy and discusses its characters and the further understanding about the security in using LNG.

Abstract: Small Butterfly valve is specially designed for use in industry field and ship. The important parts of butterfly valve are composed of disk, stem and body. But, like LNG ship, in enviroment of low temperature, as working condition deteriorates, important of sealing more increased. In this study, we examine sealing mechanism of butter valve on the base of FEM and investigate sealing life by measurement. The finite element analysis was carried out to study the effect of the seal ring shape on bi-directional sealing force of valve. The sealing mechanism was evaluated by 2-dimensional model in order to save the analysis time. And these analyses used by material non-linearity and contact element were implemented.

Abstract: Many cities in China are being supplied with natural gases from different sources including PNGs (Pipeline Natural Gas) and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), critical attention should be paid to natural gas interchangeability problems. In this paper, the applicability of Weaver Indices for Chinese natural gas interchangeability prediction has been discussed. Experiment with 17 sets of domestic gas appliances and 11 natural gases about 187 test conditions has been done to analyze the interchangeability. It can conclude from experiment results that some sources of natural gas cannot be interchangeable, and Weaver Indices isnt totally suitable to predict lifting and incomplete combustion performance for Chinese natural gas interchangeability. It suggests the limits of Incomplete Combustion JI should be changed into JI0.04 and Lifting JL to JL0.95.
