Abstract: A manufacturing execution system (MES) is the information system of a process which actively collects processes and analyses the materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods, machine time, cost etc. on the production site in real time and monitors work in progress (WIP). In this work we present a service recommender system for active services according to service requestors’ goal in manufacturing execution system -workflows. The system is modeled as a multi-agent environment where clients and service agents negotiate using a Co-evolutionary Contract-Net (CeCN).It will improve the MES performance and capability and operating costs significantly.

Abstract: Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is widely used in enterprise production scene. But most manufacturing execution systems are expensive and mostly for the continuous production-oriented enterprises. Thus, they are hardly applied to a large number of existing discrete manufacturing enterprises. For discrete manufacturing companies, on-site processing is complex such as the planning and scheduling. This paper proposes a concept that is the use of advanced enterprise information management and designs a CIMS technology for discrete industry. The system is capable of real-time monitoring of discrete manufacturing companies in the products of the process of production and production data collection. The completion of the automatic production scheduling is achieved, providing a variety of enterprise project management module upper and greatly optimizing various production resources of the enterprise configuration. In practical applications, it has received very good results.

Abstract: On the background of Manufacturing Execution Systems engineering, based on Bayesian information fusion evaluation methods research system reliability growth. Exploreing MES function of test data is not easy to obtain, it used bayesian fusion method which is based on the type of conjugate prior distribution, assessment the MES reliability of each function module. Utilize Fuzzy priori information, research the MES function module failure rate of the Bayes estimate, to reveals the complex system under the condition of the cause of the problem is not easy to determine, which can be carried out system reliability growth test.

Abstract: Systematic analysis is made on meaning and current research of Holonic Manufacturing Execution Systems (HMES). Characteristics of HMES are pointed out. It lies in the distributed structure and distributed decision-making mechanism come from holon, as well as the essence of being a shopfloor management information system. Papers on HMES are analyzed from three aspects: control framework construction, development framework and implementation. Control framework construction is the main research direction. Most of the frameworks are built on PROSA, and concentrated with emphasis on real-time scheduling on the manufacturing execution process to gain an optimized solution when faced random disturbance. As opposed to traditional legacy Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and framework MES, HMES has certain superiority, implementation and application of HMES also have good prospect. But because of the limitation of distributed decision-making mechanism, practical application has certain difficulty, which leads to the research work relatively slow.

Abstract: Honeywell Business FLEX® PKS™ is a manufacturing executive system(MES) which is applicable to the process manufacturing firm to unify the supply chain plan, the service and the production automation, transferring the company's service goal to the definite operation goal and realizing the multi-varieties, multi-batch, high quality and low cost of the production demand. This paper has investigated on the enterprise productive plan and scheduler module to realise the system optimizations and product quality improvement as well as some key technical strategies. The paper also made an analysis for the numerous resources entity and functional module of the overall system and formed a research subject on the theory relative to the reliability growth of the MES. The research on the case has a certain instruction function for the enterprises which are going to put the MES into accurate, real-time data improves the decision-making process, and the resulting decisions improve customer service for all related information.

Abstract: Manufacturing execution system is the link in the process of enterprise implementation information integration.The application of Radio Frequency Identification technology is important to implement the data collection function of MES. Speculation against the low efficiency, poor in real time, and low security function for data acquisition in a motor manufacturer, established data acquisition system in MES based on RFID,discussed the data collection process, designed structure of the system in detail,analyzed the function requirements,provide anti-collision algorithm to avoid data collection of the label which may be used in the system implementation,finally discussed the principle of coding.

Abstract: To deal with problem of manufacturing system stability caused by uncertain factors in discrete production process, holon was introduced to manufacturing execution system (MES). A distributed manufacturing control architecture based on holon was established. This architecture using cooperation mechanism based stigmergy to realize agility, autonomy and intelligence of system control. Based on the architecture, holon driven agents to visit production elements, acquiring dynamic information of production process. Model design of production factors as order, resource, raw material, product and management factors as optimize, execution was described amply. Finally, workflow of this system was depicted with an example of uncertain order factor.

Abstract: Container Terminal Scheduling System is a random, dynamic, nonlinear complex systems. How to schedule in order to achieve MES seamless connectivity for management system and control system, which is reseach focus of MES currently. Aiming at the production process and production management features for container terminal, a thorough research on CIMS of container terminal enterprise is taken, the relationships of information exchange that among the plan layer, the execution layer and control layer are analyzed. On the basis of control theory and system engineering theory, and viewpoint of process control, a closed MES control system is build. It is established step by step to achieve seamless integration MES by intelligent modeling and control compensation of scheduling. A new and original way for realizing accurate and transparency management in the production process and production optimization is provided.

Abstract: Configurable MES is a hot attention in today’s industry. In this work, we present a MES model based on a production process modeling method. With the workflow management technology, a configurable MES framework is introduced and some important implementation methods such as production process modeler, activity script language and production process scheduler are presented. A successful application of an automobile engine assembly line shows that this model is useful and effective.
