Abstract: In this paper, we proposed an algorithm to globally solve a class of mathematical problems in mechanical system. Firstly, by utilizing equivalent problem and linear relaxation technique, a linear relaxation programming of original mathematical problem is established. Secondly, by using branch and bound theory, a feasible algorithm is proposed for globally solving original problem. Finally, the convergence of the proposed algorithm is proven, and numerical experiments showed that the presented algorithm is feasible.

Abstract: The paper presents the problem of vibration reduction in designed discrete mechanical systems. The method of reduction has been based on active synthesis, which makes it possible to obtain the desired mechanical effect through the proper selection of dynamic properties of the system, including the calculation of the active force as a function of the system force feedback.

Abstract: The paper presents a numerical example of utilizing a synthesis tool to determine the parameters and structures of machine drive systems in the form of torsional vibration models. In addition, the paper presents the algorithm for determining the values of controlling force parameters an active synthesis. The presented method makes it possible to choose a controlling force to maintain loads within the rated range under specified operating conditions.

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of diagnosis difficulty caused by too many factors of mechanical system, a kind of diagnosing method based on fault phenomenon was presented. The research on mechanical system fault phenomenon space arrived at conclusion that the emergency of each fault phenomenon subject to 0-1 distribution. Therefore, phenomenon vector corresponding to each fault formed cluster whose accumulation point is expectation of vector. After exclusion of abnormal vectors, the distance discrimination was used to fault diagnosis to establish expert system based on fault phenomenon vector. The confirmed result was return back to fault database so that the system achieve self-learning of real-time diagnosis experiences. Finally, the example on X-type hydraulic excavator proves that the diagnostic method has characteristics of good real-time, simple operation and high diagnostic accuracy.

Abstract: An automated design approach for combined mechanical system is presented in this paper. The mechanical system can be generated by combining mechanical units, in particularly, generate alternate mechanism concepts. Beginning with kinematic functions as the input and output of mechanism unit, which are presented as the input and output vectors. And then, equations are defined according to the input and output functional characteristic vectors. Meanwhile, the functional transition can also be established by motion relationship between the inputs and the outputs of combined system. And then, the combination models (series and parallel combined patterns) are provided from the different combination patterns. Additionally, the properties of the different combination are intensively researched and the decomposition rules. By manipulating the matrices and the vectors, a given task can be decomposed into sub-functions. An example is given to show the application of the concept.

Abstract: Ambient Assisted Living is an important subject to be explored and developed, especially in developed countries, due to the increasing number of aged people. In this context the development of mechatronic support systems for bedridden elderly people (BEP) living in their homes is essential in order to support independence, autonomy and improve their quality of life. Some basic tasks as eating, taking a bath and/or hygiene cares become difficult to execute, regarding that often the main caregiver is the other element of the aged couple (husband or wife). This paper presents the conceptual design of a mechanical system especially devoted to assist the caregiver in the handling and repositioning of the BEP. Issues as reducing the number of caregivers, to only one, and reducing the system's handling complexity (because most of the time it will be used by an aged person) are considered. The expertise obtained from the visits to rehabilitation centers and hospitals, and from working meetings, are considered in the development of the proposed mechatronic system.

Abstract: current electromechanical products are moving in the direction of large integrated and small intelligent, a mechanical and electrical equipment is usually composed of many parts, we not only need physical test to know whether these parts perform well or not, but also need simulation analysis for many times to verify the performance of the whole device. Firstly, this paper depicts the current development situation of mechanical and electrical co-simulation technology, then researches its practical application combined with industrial production.

Abstract: Lifting system is widely applied to different range because it is quite convenient and intelligent, such as high-rise buildings. In order to improve the reliability and equipment working efficiency of the automatic control system, programmable controller (PLC) as the core controller is properly used during the control system design in the paper. Through the mechanical working method, the software control is used instead of more complex relay-contactor control which can greatly improve the mechanical failure inspection and maintenance convenience.

Abstract: A kind of automatic welding machine and its microcomputer control system were designed in this paper. The mechanical system includes a floating welding workbench, the two-dimension mechanism and the indexing mechanism. There are two choices for the control system, based on PLC or IPC separately. The automatic welding machine can be applied to train hook buildup welding. Experiments showed that reasonable buildup welding was achieved, and the automatic buildup welding equipment can improve productivity and work conditions.

Throughusing the derivative of Lee Yap Andrianof function is negative to calculate theswing up control rule, and using fuzzy control technique to select controlparameters to avoid the swing up controller of the odd value and to improve thesystem control performance.
