Abstract: The development inevitable tendency of automatic & informational mine is the comprehensive integration of safe production condition, system automation and administration information. The introduction of OPC to the mine comprehensive monitoring system solve the problem of information sharing among various subsystems and offer the base for construction of mine comprehensive monitoring system. The automatic remote control system of underground drainage system illustrates the application of the technology.

Abstract: In practical application, some flowmeters are not allowed to be calibrated off-line periodically, thus on-line calibration is necessary to be implemented in workplace [1]. As a non-invasive flowmeter, the clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters are widely used in on-line calibration system. As a master flowmeter, ultrasonic flowmeters must be calibrated before or during using. Based on multiple fieldbus control system, an automatic calibration system for the ultrasonic flowmeter was designed. The comparison results between ultrasonic and electromagnetic flowmeter obtained during the process of calibrating manifest that the automatic calibration system is effective and reliable. Because of the good interoperability of the multiple fieldbus, other flowmeters with different protocols can be connected into this system easily. With the high speed development of fieldbus technology, this has great practical significance in flowmeter calibration.

Abstract: Real-time information feed describing the state of production system is the key to successful management of any company, because up-to-date information is necessary basis for decision making in company operating on globalised market. Data describing the state of the production system should be collected in the manufacturing system, pre-processed, interpreted, filtered, archived and finally, either used in IT systems supporting company management (MES, ERP), or directly presented to crew and managers responsible for specific areas of interest. Possibility of data acquisition in companies strongly depends on specific of branch of industry, technological processes automation level, number of operations performed manually, type of production, etc. Acquisition of data on state of the production system should be carried-on automatically, without involvement of workers. This paper presents overall description of issues of data acquisition in company, proposed Manufacturing Information Acquisition System (MIAS) and the case study of data acquisition in company leading continuous, automated production processes Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Gliwice, Poland.

Abstract: The present study concerns a development of cement-free concrete using ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) with alkali-activators such as KOH, NaOH, and Ca (OH)2. To find out the development among three different activators, the concentration of hydroxyl ion was kept 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 3.0% by weight of binder irrespective of cations. The setting time was measured by penetration resistance immediately after casting of mortar. The development of compressive strength was measured at 7, 14, 28, and 91 days. The pore structure of cement-free mortar was examined by the mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) and rapid chloride penetration test (RCPT). Simultaneously, grew sample was used to microscopically observe at the XRD. For strength of cement-free mortar, mixed with KOH or NaOH was as high as OPC at 3.0 % by weight of binder. However, the compressive strength of cement-free concrete mixed with 3.0 % Ca (OH)2 by weight of binder had just half strength of OPC mortar. Cement-free concrete activated with NaOH and Ca (OH)2 had higher total pore volume, however, it had lower ionic penetrability due to the pore type which mostly consist of gel pores. For pore structure of cement-free mortar mixed with KOH, the total volume had similarity to that of OPC mortar, however, it had lower penetrability. Therefore, it may have higher resistance to chloride transport than that of OPC mortar.

Abstract: Monitoring system for transformation and distribution equipments plays an important role in offshore platform safety production. This paper introduces the OPC technology and discusses the requirements and architecture of this monitoring system. For the convenience of monitoring data exchange, OPC technology is applied in the design and realization of the monitoring system. An OPC server is created for the monitoring data publication, and the monitoring system can get cable load current data from the OPC server in the central control system. In this way,the monitoring system can exchange monitoring data with the central control system more efficiently.

Abstract: Based on investigation into available monitoring and control system technology at home and abroad, this paper presents extensive surveys and thorough analysis of the safety supervision system being employed in Chinese coal mines. Taking a mine area as example and according to years of working experience in technical management of coal mines, the author combines the status quo of the mine area and existing problems in the supervision system for production safety in Chinese coal mines, and provides a design proposal of supervision system for production safety in coal mines, where a digitalized supervision system for production safety in coal mines serving dual-function of supervising production safety and commanding accident rescue is designed.

Abstract: The actuality that SHCAN2000 system relies on FIX configuration software has limited its application scope significantly. In this paper, the interface card what accord with OPC specification was realized through applying LM3S8962 microcontroller and OPC technology, the opening performance of data acquisition system was greatly improved, which can effectively avoid the repeatability of development process and incompatibility of many integrated software systems, at the same time, the standardization of hardware and software was also fulfilled the requirements. The improved Field Bus control system has a broader application prospect in industrial control field.

Abstract: Aiming at the problem that there are many .NET based software need to access COM based OPC servers. This article developed an OPC client for .NET based advanced control software. Firstly, this article introduces the structural characteristics of OPC, then describes the whole process to develop this client software, and finally shows the experiments result that the client could access data with an OPC server stabilized. This client could be a good solution to solve the communication problem between .NET and COM platforms.

Abstract: It is of great significance for the measurement of low concentration of VOCs that the sample pretreatment preconcentration system. We design a gas sample pre-treatment preconcentration system based on LabVIEW. It’s in this system, of whose PC uses LabVIEW software and of whose following part adopts data acquisition card USB4711A; intelligent temperature control instrument FB400 of RKC and mass flow controller of burkert (MFC8711). The standardized drive mode of OPC and DataSocket of LabVIEW realize the PC real-time communication with lower computer .This system has a good man-machine interface and it is a reliable control system. This system can realize the real-time display and control of parameters such as temperature, flow, and also realize the running condition of all equipments control and alarm function.

Abstract: The design procedure of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platform is presented in this paper for the purpose of developing, studying and evaluating process control technology. Based on Tennessee Eastman (TE) process, OPC (OLE for Process Control) communication standards and iFIX configuration software, a two-way information exchange channel between TE process and iFIX is setup via OPC. Through iFIX HMI (human machine interface), the operator can monitor the state of TE process and the operational commands can be transmitted to TE process easily. Other functions such as history view can be developed according to users demand. With the SCADA platform, researchers could enjoy more flexible data and information in research and training programs in contrast to conventional way.
