Abstract: A new control method based on least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) and model predictive control (MPC) is proposed for the control of fermenter temperature. Existing PID control doesn’t consider the model of controlled object, so it tends to bring steady-state error. The proposed method utilizes LSSVM to obtain fermenter temperature’s model and then uses it to implement MPC. The simulation results show that our method has better control performance than traditional PID control

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present a new predictive control utilizing online data and stored data of input/output of the controlled system. The conventional predictive control methods utilize the mathematical model of the control system to predict an optimal future input to control the system. The model is usually obtained by a standard system identification method from the measured input/output data. The proposed method does not require the mathematical model to predict the optimal future control input to achieve the desired output. This control strategy, called just-in-time, was originally proposed by Inoue and Yamamoto in 2004. In this paper, we proposed a simplified version of the original just-in-time predictive control method.

Abstract: A time-delay predictive control algorithm based on immune computational intelligences is proposed in this paper. The predictive control parameter was optimized through immune clonal selection. Which avoids calculate Diophantine equation and inverse matrix, reduces the input dimensions of the nonlinear map. Simulations were conducted on the time-delay system, non-minimum phase of the process system, divergent system illustrate that this approach is a feasibility and effectiveness way and demonstrate its rapid responds, small overshoot and high adaptability for time delay system.

Abstract: In this paper, an increment-type multi-step predictive and multi-step control algorithm of single-variable systems based on Laguerre function approximate model is presented, and then the stability of this algorithm is analyzed. Additionally, simulation of this algorithm had been done to investigate performance, the results show that the controlling quality of this algorithm is fairly good.

Abstract: Due to its characteristics of large time delay and large inertia, central heating pipe networks suits to be controlled by predictive control algorithm. In predictive control systems, adjustable parameters are immerged into the closed-loop polynomial and the explicit relationships are difficult to be found, which make the algorithm design difficult. In this paper, the closed-loop characteristics of multi-horizon predictive control strategy with feedback correction is analyzed, which shows that it is equivalent to a certain kind of pole-placement algorithm. This conclusion demonstrates the performance design of state-feedback predictive control easier to be achieved.

Abstract: Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler is a complicated control object with big delay, multi-variable and strong coupling, especially the combustion in it. It is too difficult to build an exact mathematic model to describe the combustion process. And it is hard to get ideal control effect with normal controller. This paper presents the overview of advanced control techniques in thermal process control of Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler, such as decoupling control, predictive control and fuzzy control. The future of advanced control research and application is also discussed.

Abstract: Peristaltic pump is widely used in medical practice and chemical industry. But in some applications, which ask for small flow and high precision, a small jump of output to the peristaltic pump is quite serious. Therefore, it restricts the use and performance of peristaltic pump. This paper tries to introduce generalized predictive control method to the system of peristaltic pump. Besides, the results of simulation and experiment show that the static error of system using the mentioned method is smaller than traditional PID control which asks for a continuous output, so as to the output error when the system works at the small titration.

Abstract: It has been proved that Multi-layer network computing can solve the nonlinear separable problem, but the problem which the hidden layer makes the learning more difficult limits the development of multi-layer network.Back-propagation (BP) algorithm solve this problem and promote multi-network research to regain attention. In this paper, A new method which dynamic matrix control method based on neural network is found. Its essence is that the resulting prediction signal is produced by the manner which regards neural network model as prediction model, and the predictive control of nonlinear systems would be realized by the control law which using the receding optimization algorithm. Neural network Selects the BP neural network which possess a good nonlinear function approximation capability.Aiming at dongping tunnel surface deformation prediction, the article adopt BP Neural Network to train the system basing on the given data. It shows the hiding neural node is close to precision; predictive value in good agreement with measured values, and to some extent be able to guide the construction.

Abstract: In pulp washing process, as the series characteristic of Dilution Factor (DF), plasma layer thickness and washing water flow, a new predictive inference control algorithm is applied to pulp washing process. Simulation in pulp washing process shows that the algorithm not only improved the response speed of unpredictable variable but also can be an monitored value for the production process.

Abstract: A control framework to limit aircraft Euler angles (pitch/rolling) under adverse side stick command adding is introduced. Attitude envelope of the aircraft pitch/rolling angle is discussed based on geometrical position of the aircraft relative to the ground. Control law of is established by using linearized predictive control strategy. The simulation test presents the performance of attitude protection restricting the Euler angles within the required envelop at 1,000m. Based on the test work discussed herein, the control work proposed in this paper is believed to be applicable.
