Abstract: In order to solve the cleaning problem of ginkgo after husking, the author puts forward a design scheme of air-shaker cleaning device for ginkgo kernel and husk. The device consists of feed, fan, shaker and outlet. The parameters of shaker are determined: sieve motion direction angle is 8o, sieve angle of inclination is 20o, crank radius is 0.020m, crank rotational speed n is 320rmp. Test results show that the cleaner has steady transmission, low noise, stable performance and its productivity is 2.2t/h, loss ratio is 1.20%, cleaning ratio is 95.21%. It can meet the production requirements.

Abstract: The troweling of wall space is an essential decorative process and the development of wall-troweling robots, which are expected to release labors from the burdensome pargeting tasks, is growing to be a promising sector in todays architectural industry. In this paper, a static analysis is conducted for the key components of troweling disk and vertical guiderail, based on the proposed virtual prototype of wall-troweling robots. The stress distribution across these components provides a sound basis for the structural design. With the finite element analysis module of SolidWorks package, the paper investigates the modal characteristics of the key components operating under practical conditions. The research effort in this paper is contributive to the design and manufacturing of wall-troweling robots.

Abstract: It is known that vibratory feeders are the most versatile of all hopper feeding devices for small engineering parts and play a key role in assembly automation. However, there are still no reliable and effective professional teaching platforms for researching or demonstrating the principle of the parts conveying. The aim of this paper is to develop an optimal teaching platform based on the analysis of the working principle that the feeder follows. The structural design, elastic system and control system are studied in this paper. The vibration principle is verified by the teaching platform through the experiment and the results are promising.

Abstract: Selection of the material and design of earthquake resistance structures are an important issue today. Many people die every year due to inappropriate design and selection of the materials. There are several software to be used for structural design of buildings, however they just design the structure based on some limited standards. There is a need to develop a computer-based earthquake resistant design model to integrate the current market’s software with different design standards of different countries. The objective of this study is to propose a model to integrate the local structural design standards/codes with available market’s programs. To achieve this objective, Microsoft Excel was used as the core of the model to be integrated with one of the market’s program. Then, the model was developed in three phases. To test the model, the Iranian design standard (Code 2800) was used to design a 7-story apartment. The results show that the model can be fully integrated with those market’s programs which support Microsoft Excel. The result of Phase 1 of the model is useful to select the optimum selection of the material while Phase 2 and 3 contribute to design of the earthquake resistant structure.

Abstract: This paper presents the concepts used for the structural analysis and design of Dalian International Conference Center. The unique building consists of various conference and function rooms. A steel deck of 25,000 m2 is supported by 14 transportation tubes and surrounded by 7 cantilevered conference and function rooms, an isolated opera house with 1800 seats is at the center. Some typical joints are also introduced in the paper.

Abstract: Relationships of cold protective clothing design and market were explored for apparel function and structure, and cold protective clothing company product to successful meet market demand. People require a large number of outdoor cold protective clothing that makes a chain of market, designer, consumer and manufacturer. They are not only focus on apparel functional comfort but also garment style preference structural design. Sophisticated new technologies are available to the apparel industry to create automated custom-fitted clothing, using 3-D body scanning and software designed to automate patternmaking to effectively improve productivity [1]. Currently, the quantification of fit is complex and ambiguous and objective methods. The purpose of this study was to explore the cold protective clothing manufacturer should have the necessary conditions on function and structure for the market demand.

Abstract: Short-leg shear wall structure is a special shear wall structure for high-rise buildings. This paper includes an analysis of the integrity coefficient and seismic design strategy of the short-leg shear wall, and a research on the calculation method of this structure with several relevant proposals. The author analyzes its construction technology, the application and treatment measures of various construction technologies are proposed according to specific issues in construction practice and construction characteristics.

Abstract: The design and construction of concrete water treatment and storage structures in Australia has catered for the existing markets. The next generation of these structures needs a more sophisticated approach. Engineers who analyse and design water treatment plants, or water and liquid storage structures, as well as other complex reinforced and pre-stressed concrete structures, will find this paper of interest. Advanced water treatment plants and water factories for recycling domestic and industrial waste water have introduced new complexities into concrete tank design. Two recently constructed Australian water purifying plants provide examples of the theoretical and practical challenges of designing and constructing the large and complex process vessels required by modern plants to produce large volumes of high-quality water.

Abstract: Concept design is the heart and soul of structural design. Combining with applications of PKPM series computer construction structural CAD system software, the paper described that software has some applicability, limitations, and approximate in practical construction applications. The structural design personnel should start from structural concept and par more attention to value of calculation parameters, computing model processing and calculation results determination, so as to ensure safety, economy and rationality of structural design.
