Abstract: This paper presents for the first time a 650V SiC JFET switch. Although this application class is highly competitive and occupied by Silicon devices the characterization data show unique features which make the SiC switch an outstanding option for future system integration.

Abstract: We report on the development of the first 1 cm x 1 cm SiC Thyristor chip capable of blocking 5 kV. This demonstrates the present quality of the SiC substrate and epitaxial material. A forward drop of 4.1 V at 100 A and 25°C has been measured. The turn-on delay is found to be a strong function of the gate current. At a gate current of 0.5 A, a turn-on delay of 250 ns is observed for an anode to cathode current of 200 A. The turn-on delay reduces to 72 ns for an IG = 1.5 A. The turn-on rise time is a strong function of the anode to cathode voltage, VAK. At VAK =230 V, the turn-on rise-time is 300 ns for IAK =200 A. The rise-time reduces to 26 ns for VAK = 500 V.

Abstract: A capacitor memory erasing technique for pipeline ADC is introduced, which insert a clearing phase to the traditional working timing sequence of the MDAC to erasing the residual charges on the sampling capacitor. The measurement shows that the 14-bit pipeline ADC adopting the proposed technique can achieve a sampling rate of 250MSPS with SNR 69dB, SFDR 80dB, compared with the traditional ADC of sampling rate 100MSPS, SNR 60dB, SFDR 71dB, which proves the proposed technique can improve the performances of pipeline ADCS obviously.

Abstract: Recently, we proposed an innovative switch architecture called Contention-Tolerant Crossbar (CTC) switch. It is able to tolerate conflicts in switch fabric. The schedulers of CTC are distributed in inputs and operate independently and in parallel, which releases the central controller and cooperative arbiters, and largely reduces the hardware complexity. In this paper, we discuss a general model by discussing a CTC structure with X inputs and Y outputs called (X, Y)-CTC Structure. And a queueing network model is developed for analyzing the throughput of this general structure. Since it has the main characteristics of CTC, it can be seen as the basis of modularity study of Contention-Tolerant Switches.

Abstract: A new blue photochromic diarylethene compound, 1-[5-(3,5-difluorinphenyl)-2-methyl-3-thienyl]-2-[5-(3-cyanophenyl)-2-methyl-3-thienyl]perfluoroclopentene (1a), was synthesized and its photochemical properties were investigated in detail. The results demonstrated that the compound has good photochromism in solution and in PMMA amorphous film, and good fluorescence and optical storage properties.

Abstract: This paper presents a photonic polarization switch based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. The polarization switch can change the pathway of the different polarized light via optical tunneling effects. By controlling the incident angle of the input light, the output polarization state can be switched between two different polarization states. The polarization switch has promising applications on both photonic circuit and bio-detecting.

Abstract: Input-Queued switching fabrics are widely used in high speed network switches for their scalability. However, a scheduling algorithm must be elaborative designed for input-queued switches to get high throughput. The randomized algorithms are attractive in kinds of scheduling algorithms for their low complexity and well performance. In this paper, a fluid model is introduced to analyze the rate stability of switching systems with randomized schedulers. By this method, we proved that the randomized scheduling algorithm can achieve 100% throughput under any admissible traffics which satisfy the strong law of large numbers (SLLN).

Abstract: This paper presents an efficient methodology for automated optimal tailoring actuation voltage waveform of MEMS switches aiming at eliminating the detrimental contact bouncing effect to speed up the switching process and improve the mechanical reliability. This is a simulation-based approach where genetic algorithm (GA) is used in combination with a dedicated mechanical model of MEMS switch to derive optimal actuation waveform. The proposed technique has been implemented in SystemC-A, which is extremely well suited for complex modeling, implementation of post-processing of simulation results and optimization algorithms. Effectiveness of proposed approach is corroborated by a practical case study of automated actuation waveform design for a prefabricated DC-contact MEMS switch. The experimental results show that the switching time of the switch by employing optimized actuation voltage waveform is dramatically reduced to 60μs from 95μs, while the bouncing effect is successfully eliminated.

Abstract: The badminton wind tunnel experiment quality classification was influenced by a lot of factors, such as the size of the wind tunnel wind speed Settings, the selection of the wind hole diameter size, Experiment parameter Settings of the test system software used standard and experimental error and so on. Therefore, a factorys wind tunnel experimental facility would be used by this paper, in order to make the quality of badminton, wind tunnel wind speed and wind hole diameter are researched further. Through the experiment testing, and combined with badminton wind tunnel experiment of theory knowledge, get the impact of these factors on the quality of badminton classification rule. Theoretical analysis is the same as the result of experiment, which this conclusion is indicated by the experiment that what we do. So as to choose the right wind tunnel device and system software of the test parameters Settings provide certain reference. Also the Badminton the judgment of the quality grade classification standard was provided the important reference frame by it.
