Abstract: A turntable is needed to simulate the motion of ground vehicles in laboratory. Such a turntable was presented in the paper. The basic structure of the turntable was that it could rotate around their own 3 axis, thus all forms of motion of ground vehicles could be simulated. The mechanical performance of the turntable was studied by virtual prototyping method using software CATIA, including structural characteristics, centroid, moment of inertia and turning space. Mechanical analysis was performed, the deformation and stress distribution of the turntable were analyzed. The modal analysis of the turntable was performed using FEM method. Those analysis results show the 3-axis turntable can simulate the motion of ground vehicles.

Abstract: In order to make the design of modern complex software support the multi-disciplinary optimization,realize its solving function,and confirm its comprehensive optimum scheme,We put forward a modeling method,which is combining the Freeform with surface design. Considered the characteristics of modern software design,we analyzed the important role that modern software played in the modeling process,studied the application process of modeling that combining freeform with the surface design.,and did the application of virtual design,for example,combined the technology of virtual claywith force feedback into the virtual design. Put the above method into the product design,and we confirmed that this technology can add or reduce the soil in accordance with the different demands, and is an effective method to solve the complex problems in the modeling process.

Abstract: Since the open lab cannot improve the students’ practical ability in a good manner, and the full-featured laboratory equipment has a high cost, this paper thus designs a students’ innovative DIY training platform that quickly assists to model the KT board, in order to enhance the students’ practical skills and thinking abilities, and improve the quality of experiment teaching. The platform solves the existing DIY modeling’s issues of great difficulty in manual processing, low precision and long cycle. Based on the design platform of SolidWorks, this paper completes the parametric design of the device virtual prototype, adopts the virtual prototyping technology to make dynamics simulation analysis towards the critical parts, and verifies the rationality of this mechanism design and correctness of function implementation.

Abstract: 75% to 80% of the mobile robots cost is determined by product design. Under normal circumstances, the quoted price of the product design is about 12% to 15% mobile robots price during the current market quoted price. The costs and the cost difference between virtual and traditional mobile robots design can be compared quantitatively by fuzzy evaluation using the product design cost function. The quantitative comparison results according to the mobile robots design showed that virtual design costs were significantly lower than traditional designs costs.

Abstract: In this paper, the basic theory of Virtual Design was described and the application of 3D design software SolidWorks 2009 in loader working device was introduced as well. In SolidWorks 2009, Loader working device was taken for example to discuss the process of parametric modeling. Meanwhile, it could be approved from the virtual assembly process of working device that the whole process was fully in line with the assembly process in actual production.

Abstract: According to the problems that caving device of the mulching film and punching planter that hard to adjust the plant distance problem and the low frequency of use at present, the plant spacing adjustable dibbler was designed for continuously adjustable planting distance of the caving device. The adjustable dibbler can be realize continuous adjustable of plant spacing in certain range, when the planter was working. It is to achieve the aim of a machine used several purposes, expand the scope of use, and improve the frequency of use. By the UGNX virtual prototyping technology, completed the design of the overall structure of the adjustable dibbler. The study provides reference for the design and development of the mulching film and punching planter.
