Abstract: With the improvement of Beijing urban rail transit network, an increasing number of transfer stations come into being. The scale of the urban rail transit station becomes larger and the passenger flow volume increases dramatically which makes urban rail transit guidance information much more important. However, since the construction of urban rail transit system in China started relatively late, guiding sign system lacks of uniform standard and guidance information settings have many drawbacks so that it can hardly meet the demand of passengers. This paper, taking television as a carrier. And it gives the thought of removing guidance information to the carriage to serve arriving passengers in advance for best guiding effect. First, design a questionnaire and then issue questionnaires. Second, analyze the survey data and find out passengers’ demand for guidance information. Third, design a scheme on guidance information based on passengers’ demand. At last, use AnyLogic simulation software and select line 2 platform of Xizhimen station as a simulation environment to evaluate the effect of the scheme.

Abstract: Based on the RP-SP data collected in the holiday travel behavior survey in 2013, this paper analyzed the impact effect of integrated multimodal travel information (IMTI) on the holiday trip chain characteristics. General statistical analysis is adopted to compare the trip chain structural characteristics, spatial-temporal characteristics and the mode split under the IMTI service or not. The results show that, under the influence of IMTI, 9% of the travelers will cancel their trips and 13% will change their trip mode. Moreover, the pre-trip information has a significant influence on the activity point number, trip chain length and travel time, has moderate influence on activity duration, and has weak influence on transfer time and trip distance. On the other hand, the en-route information has weak influence on the trip chain structure and spatiotemporal characteristics.

Abstract: As an important node of the urban transport network, road signalized intersection collects more than one direction of traffic flows. Thus, it not only becomes the throat of the transportation network, but also accident-prone area. Through field survey, this paper analyses a typical signalized intersection with safety problems and proposes an improvement design plan. Afterwards, with the use of the crash reduction factor (CRF), it forecasts the effects of safety improvement measures.

Abstract: Based on the result of SP survey, the transfer problems are classified and analyzed in detail. Then this paper conducts research on the passenger demand for metro transfer system. By using the Multinomial Logistic Model, the transfer impact factor is analyzed which could provide basical support for the improvement, planning and construction of public transit transfer system.

Abstract: Optimization of phase offset for adjacent intersections is the key parameter regarding coordinated control of traffic signal for adjacent intersections, which decides the effect of the coordinated control for adjacent intersections. According to characters of saturated traffic flow of Chinese urban road, this thesis establishes a model for optimization of phase offset for adjacent interactions and finds a solution from such model by adopting genetic algorithm. The model is verified by actual traffic flow datum of two adjacent signal intersections on Changan Avenue. Then a comparison is made between the optimization result of such model and that of the existing mathematical method and SYNCHRO model, which indicates that the model established by this thesis can reduce the delay suffered by vehicles at the intersections and increase the traffic efficiency of the intersections.

Abstract: A dynamic parameters model is presented based on cellular automata for pedestrian evacuation in this paper. The dynamic parameters: Direction-parameter, Empty-parameter and Cognition-parameter are formulated to simplify tactically the decision-making process of pedestrians, which can reflect the pedestrian judgment on the surrounding conditions and decide the pedestrian’s choice of action. Pedestrian moving rules were established, according to two-dimensional cellular automaton. The simulation results of the model are analyzed. It is observed that there is a linear relationship between evacuation time and pedestrian density, however, there is a negative exponential relationship between evacuation time and exit width. The simulation results correspond with the actual, it is instructional significant for pedestrian evacuation.
