Abstract: Removable steel refuge chamber is a very important device for lifesaving in coal mine disasters, such as fire, gas explosion, roof fall, and so on. So the chamber body should have good stiffness, strength, and tightness under disaster conditions. The stiffener structure in refuge chamber body has been investigated with FEM, and a kind of design was suggested.

Abstract: The impact process of the hammer and the rock in impact crusher has been simulated with the software MSC.Dytran. Through the analysis of stress distribution in hammer and square plate, the region which stress is greater and the maximum stress loaction was founded. The result of the simulation will provides the basis for the improvement of the crusher’s performance.

Abstract: The scooping process of wheel loader is divided into three phases, called insertion, scoop-up and pull-out phase respectively. The key phase in scooping process is scoop-up phase, so the test investigation is focused on it, and the concept of resistance isoline was verified.

Abstract: The influence of the wear of the rotor bar on its impact effect was investigated with FEM simulation. The effectiveness of FEM simulation on the research of impact force was verified through the comparison of experiment and simulation data. Simulation results showed that the wear of rotor bar has not so large influence on impact force. In its initial stage, the bar is worn easily, and the wear becomes slow with the wear increasing.
