Abstract: Frontal rail constructed of composite material was researched, in order to improving vehicle safety performance in frontal crash as well as lightweight of vehicle. Compliance to FMVSS 208, the vehicle frontal crash was simulated using the finite element model of the full vehicle. The occupant head injury was analyzed by sled test using crash pulse. Then, the composite material parameters which have the best function of reducing the occupant head injury value were studied by using orthogonal test method. Using this kind of composite materials, the occupant safety protection was effectively improved and the weight of the frontal rail was greatly reduced.

Abstract: The model of the airbag deployment test has been established based on U.S. FMVSS 208 regulations, and the effect of the protection of PAB’s two folding patterns on out-of-position child occupants has been tested. The Experiments show that the "Z" shaped folding is better than the winding folding according to the experiment model. In addition, optimize the airbag by the method of expanding the size of pores and the horizontal size of the airbag to achieve better protection for out-of-position child occupants.

Abstract: Design and develop a new type of parallel hybrid electric vehicle with ISG motor, super capacitor and electric dual-clutch, based on the former automobile chassis. Look profoundly into the structure and the control strategy of the hybrid power system. The driving mode of the vehicle has been divided strictly into five modes and the torque of engine and ISG motor has been distributed rationally. The control model of the system has been built by Simulink, and the control parameters for each driving mode have been optimized through a lot of experiments. At last, the validity of control strategy has been proved and verified by the simulation platform of Matlab/Simulink and hub experiments.
