Abstract: In the paper is presented model of the passive magnetic bearing. The response of bearing is approximate by second order model. There are presented the damping and stiffness coefficient of suspension. The coefficients derived from Biot-Savards law, Ohms law and Lorenzs force. There is presented loop with molecular current as a model of magnet, final formula of damping and stiffness coefficients and static characteristic of passive magnetic bearing.

Abstract: The bearingless systems are a key technology in many power mechatronic applications. The topic of the paper reports the original, very relevant and very timely research. The methods of numerical and experimental testing of the bearingless induction motor, presented in the paper revised, are convergent with the directions of up-to-date research in this domain.

Abstract: Passive magnetic bearing with Halbach array is presented in this paper. The array uses permanent magnets with radial and axial magnetization to augment the magnetic field on one side of the array and cancel it on the other side. The design of the bearing consists of ring-shaped magnets of 60x70 mm and 75x85 mm with different orientation of magnetization. The designed passive magnetic bearing has air gap of 2.5 mm, stiffness 129297 N/m and maximal value of load 200 N. The bearing ensures magnetic levitation and stabilization of rotor in a work point. The paper presents the design of the passive magnetic bearing as well as the experimental setup together with investigation results.

Abstract: There is presented PWM power amplifier for the inductance load. The PWM amplifier assigns to supply the active magnetic bearings which support shaft and flexible rotor. The power amplifier has got ten channels. The channels have got pulse bridge inverter with modulation PWM. There is showed construction, principle of operation, simulation and experimental result the PWM power amplifier.

Abstract: The design and introductory calculations of a bearingless induction motor is presented in the paper. Advantages of bearingless motors are: the lack of a mechanical contact between the journal and the bush, small additional losses, no need of lubricants, no tear and wear, the shaft is shorter, they have low cost of production due to smaller number of wires on the stator, etc

Abstract: Lab stand of a differential passive magnetic bearing is presented in the paper. The passive bearing will be used in high-speed flexible rotor. The one neodymium magnet MP 41x15x10 – N38 and two neodymium magnets MP 40x22x10 – N38 were used to design the passive magnetic bearing. The mathematical model of differential bearing, laboratory model and distribution of magnetic flux density are presented and analyzed.

Abstract: In this paper a formula of estimation of magnetic attraction force in the relative base – air-gap – absolute base system is presented. The attraction force of the relative base (forcer) to the ferromagnetic absolute base (stator) is a result of the attraction of permanent magnets, which are the components of the electromagnetic modules. The physical model and mathematical description of the particular electromagnetic module are presented.
