Abstract: The kinematic model of a tractor pushing an airplane without rod on the flat ground was established. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, backing up the system was proved to be an open-loop unstable problem by kinematic analysis. In this paper, we investigate the effects of different kinematic parameters on the manoeuvring stability of the system in backward-motion. The handling and stability of the reversing operation has been simulated with a steering wheel angle step input. A tractor drivers operation of correcting steering angle has been proposed according to the experiment results. Theoretical verification and experimental results indicates that it is referential to study the handling and stability of the non-rod tractor-aircraft system in backward-motion.

Abstract: Multi-aircraft scheduling is an importmant aspect to shorten the board handling operation time and increase the sorties of ship-based aircrafts launch out. In this paper, the factors such as the limited working space, the little resource and the complex operation task are taken into account. With the approach of multi-mode resource-contrained multi-porject scheduling, by allocating the station and resource to the aircrafts reasonably, a model which can reduce the maintenance time as much as possible is developed. The factors which effect the scheduling process are illustrated in the model. And a case study for this model is presented. The result of the case study shows that this mothod can reduce the operation time especially the maintance time reasonably.

Abstract: A path re-planning method is proposed based on a discretization of the state space, aiming at finding a collision-free path for the vehicle which is capable of forward and backward motion when changes occur in the environment. A Control Set with Turning Radius Constraint (CSTRC) is formulated and the feasibility of paths in CSTRC is also proved out. The A* search is applied to produce a feasible path considering the distance and angle between the vehicle and the target pose. Path re-planning can be carried out efficiently when the environment changes. Simulation results demonstrate that the method realizes path re-planning effectively and the path satisfy the turning radius constraint.

Abstract: With the effect of waves on ship in the seaway, the ship sways ceaselessly. These sway conditions affect the ship equipments and assignments directly. It is very important for us to set a system and to use the system to simulate ship navigation in ocean conditions. In the article, the authors have established the ship simulated motion framework based on HLA. In this framework, several federations which are taken as the basis to simulate ship motion and the seaway environment have been set up. The framework provides an environment and platform to study the assignments on board. The ship simulated motion system is developed with VC.Net and Vega prime technology. This system can simulate the motion of ships in deferent sea conditions. At the same time, it also can provide a basic research environment for the further study of the diversity of assignment process on board.

Abstract: The jack-knifing tendency of aircraft traction system during braking was discussed and analyzed using multi-body dynamics models that consist of aircraft-towing tractor, aircraft draw link and aircraft. The braking critical conditions of the aircraft traction system for straight-line braking and turning braking were discussed and analyzed respectively. In the case of straight-line braking, the effect of friction coefficient on the maximum braking torque is described. In the case of turning braking, the relationship between the maximum baking torque and relative angle is obtained.
