Abstract: Qinghai province was an important and special province in the western in china. Although great changes in all aspects in Qinghai Province in recent years, but due to long-term economic growth, the starting point of production and energy consumption was low, also the production efficiency was poor. There still exists the traditional mode in the economic structure with high energy consumption and low output in basic industries. This study analyzed the relationship between GDP increasing and total energy consumption using co-integration method based on 20 sets of annual data during 1992-2011 in Qinghai province. By the study we found energy development and utilization play an important role in it along with the steady and rapid growth of economy. During the past 20 years energy use efficiency has been improved greatly, but there was still a large potential for energy saving. This paper analyzes the relation between economic growth and energy consumption of Qinghai Province from 1992 to 2011 using the methods of co-integration analysis. The empirical results show that fluctuations relationship existing between Qinghai energy consumption and GDP in the short term, but in the long run there was a long-term stab equilibrium relationship between them. So there will be a lot of space of energy savings in the future relying on scientific and technological progress. Energy industry should be developed further synchronously in order to achieve energy-saving and emission reduction and sustainable development.

Abstract: Low-carbon tourism is proposed as a new pattern to develop the global low-carbon economy, which goes with the tide in the global climate of change. Because tourism industry has a so close association with another industries that almost every link of tourism activities could be related to energy consumption and CO2 emission. So, energy conservation and emission reduction constitute an important part of developing low-carbon tourism. This article selects GanSu Province, the weak ecological environment, as the research object. In accordance with the documents research and mathematical statistics , and the "bottom-up" study method., we made an research on energy consumption and the CO2 emission of GanSu province from the tourism travel , tourism accommodation, and tourism activities, respectively. From the result, GanSu's tourism with low-carbon and energy-saving characteristics, accounting for 0.45% energy consumptions and 0.86% CO2 emission in that of the GanSu's tourism. It shows that tourism fits in with the requirements of low-carbon tourism development. However, one of the most important factor in the tourism energy consumption and the CO2 emission is the tourism transportation, accounting for 68.83% energy consumptions and 65.96% CO2 emission in that of tourism respectively, which should be focus on as the key link in low-carbon tourism development.

Abstract: Based on the detailed survey of land use change in Shiyang river basin, referencing Costanza, and Xie et al’ research results of the value of ecosystem services, this article probed the variation of land use and value of ecosystem service in Wuwei region. The results are: from 1997 to 2006, the area of woodland, construction land and garden land are increasing, while farmland, grassland, water and unused land are continuing to decrease. Land-use intensity is gradually increasing, the land use pattern towards to a centralized style. The values of ecosystem services are overall upward, and change faster than ever. The main part of the value of ecosystem service is constituted by the value of grassland, woodland and farmland. So it’s important to control the expansion of urban construction, strength the protection of the water, restore and enhance regional ecosystem services in the future.

Abstract: Land use structure optimization is the core of land use planning, which has significant influence to the carbon cycle in terrestrial ecosystems. In this paper, we put Lanzhou as case study, to realize the land ecosystem carbon balance is the breakthrough point, using the method of fuzzy linear programming, constructing model from carbon source and carbon sink, trying to put forward a new approach to optimize the land use structure. Contrast with the former planning with the optimization scheme based on carbon balance, carbon stock volume and carbon emissions of the year 2005 and 2020 are evaluated .We got a low carbon optimization scheme of land use planning finally. The results of the study show that the objective to make carbon storage maximization and to make carbon emissions minimization is consistent and the two optimizing schemes have dramatically beneficial effect on increase carbon sink and reduce carbon source, which can slow down carbon emissions in terrestrial ecosystems and realize the rational utilization of land resources and the sustainable development.

Abstract: The paper selects slope, aspect, Relief Degree of Land Surface, land use, vegetation index, hydrology, transportation density and climate as evaluation indexes and sets up the Human Settlements Environmental Index (HEI) model to evaluate the environmental suitability for Human Settlements in Shiyang river basin. Through using spatial analysis technology of GIS such as spatial overlay analysis, buffer analysis and density analysis to establish the spatial situation of nature suitability and spatial pattern for human settlement. The Results showed that: the index of nature suitability for human settlement in Shiyang river basin was between 17.13 and 84.32. In general, nature suitability for human settlement decreased from southwest to northeast. Saw from area pattern, the suitable region mainly distributed in Minqin oasis, Wuwei oasis and Changning basin, which accounting for about1080.01 km2, 2.59% of the total area. Rather and comparatively suitable region mainly distributed around the county in Gulang, Yongchang and north of Tianzhu, which accounting for about1100.30 km2.The common suitable region mainly distributed outside of the county inYongchang, Jinchuan and most area of Minqin county, which accounting for about 23328.04km2, 56.08% of the total area. The unsuitable region mainly distributed upstream and north of river, which accounting for about 9937.60 km2, 23.89% of the total area. Meanwhile, the least suitable region distributed around the Qilian Mountain which covered by snow and cold desert and the intersecting area between Tenger Desert and Badain Jaran Desert. The total area was about 6154.05 km2, which accounting for 14.79% of the total area. Suitable regions for human inhabitance mainly distributed around rivers in the form of ribbons and batches, while others are scattered. Their distribution pattern was identical with the residential spatial pattern. In addition, the relationships between HEI and some factors were also analyzed. There was a clear logarithm correlation between situation of residential environment and population, that is, the correlation coefficient between evaluation value and population density reached 0.851. There was also positive correlation between situation of residential environment and economics, which reached 0.845 between evaluation value of residential environment and GDP. Results also showed the environment was out of bearing the existing population in Shiyang river basin. Spatial distribution of population was profoundly affected by severe environment such as the expanded deserts, the wavy terrains, and the changeful climate. Surface water shortage and slowly economic growth was the bottleneck of nature suitability for human settlement in Shiyang river basin. So according to these problems and various planning, some of residential parts need to relocate in order to improve situation of residential environment.

Abstract: Based on Landsat ETM+ data within the metropolitan area of Lanzhou, China, green vegetation(GV) and impervious surface was extracted by a constrained linear spectral mixture analysis (LSMA),together with single window algorithm to invert land surface temperature ,and the correlation analysis was then conducted to examine the relationship between urban heat island (UHI) effect and impervious surface. Four types of end members with high albedo, GV, soil and low albedo are selected to model complicated urban land cover, estimation accuracy is assessed using Root-Mean-Square (RMS)error and color aerial images, with the help of Mantel and Partial Mantel. Spatial relationship of land surface temperatures (LST), impervious surface and GV were analyzed. Results indicate that impervious surface distribution and GV can be derived from Landsat TM/ETM+ images with satisfactory precision. Impervious surface and GV were positively correlated with UHI, while LST has space dependence, it has high space dependence, and was higher correlated with impervious surface than GV.
