Abstract: In this paper, the GAMBIT of 3D model was adopted to divide the labyrinth gap in an unstructured approach. Simulation was carried out on one of the important factors which affect the labyrinth seal performance---the seal clearance. The results were compared with the simulation data of the 2D model. The experimental results prove that the effects of the circumferential turbulence make energy dissipation of the sealed cavity exacerbated; the throttling effect of the sealed cavity is significant and it plays a role that cannot be ignored in changing the labyrinth seal performance.

Abstract: Quality indicators (precision, durability, reliability) of the mechanical products are heavily depended on their tolerance to select reasonable. According to the technical requirements and the processing program of the product in whole or in parts, the parts and components can be allocated on a reasonably tolerance, and the balance can be found between the product's features and manufacturing costs. In this paper, Pro / E modeling tools are used to design parts and assembly. In the assembly process, assembly of components designed is analyzed and synthezed by the using of CE/TOL (tolerance analysis) module of Pro/E. we obtained the percentage contribution of each unit feature to the functional requirement. A percentage contribution can help designer to decide which tolerance is tighten or loosen. The application of the tolerance analysis approacch in a simple three-dimensional sample was also discussed in this paper. Results show that this approach makes manufacturing costs and the probability of excessive interference and accuracy reduce. The accuracy of the product is improved.

Abstract: For shorten the product design cycle and saved the cost, the 2.5L reciprocating compressor crankshaft is parametric designed by Pro/E. stress analysis about crankshaft during a revolution was done to check each dangerous cross-section based on dynamics, materials mechanics. The result shows that the feature parametric designs obviously shorten the design cycle and saved the design cost of different specifications crankshafts for reciprocating compressor.

Abstract: t is the goal of this paper to describe an error analysis methodology for polishing robot on a manufacturing floor. With the generalized errors considered in the model, the end-effector position and orientation errors are calculated as a function of the generalized error. The analysis is to determine which physical errors significantly influence the end-effector error. The method and computer program have been applied to the performance evaluation of a robotic manipulator to be used in a polishing robot. This methodology can be applied to estimate calibration error and give the severity value to help the designer to select the polishing robot parameters.
