Abstract: Ricin is a highly toxic material, which can be extracted from semenricini. Due to the extensive raw material sources and the simple extraction process, it is very possible for ricin to become one of the attack means for terrorist. Therefore, it is necessary to make analysis of its extraction method, toxicity, and the corresponding routes for harm transmission.

Abstract: In order to prevent sphalerite particles from coming together in leaching solution, and to reduce the loss of organic solvent, the surface modification of sphalerite concentrate with sodium lignosulfonate was investigated. The modified sphalerite concentrate particles were characterized by dispersion experiments, determination of adsorption rate of oil, determination of contact angle, FT-IR spectra and X-ray photoelectron spectra. The results showed that the modified sphalerite concentrate particles exhibited good dispersibility in water. The sedimentation volume reduced from 0.85 ml•g-1 to 0.61 ml•g-1. The adsorption rate of oil reduced from 0.15 ml•g-1 to 0.06 ml•g-1. The contact angle between sphalerite concentrate particles and water changed from 86.9˚ before modification to 32.7˚ after modification with sodium lignosulfonate. The checking results of FT-IR and XPS spectra indicated that some modification regents were coated on the particle surface. The modifier combined to sphalerite concentrate particle surface through the chemical bond, resulting in the comprehensive stability action of static and steric effect.

Abstract: Chinese maifan-stone (CMS) is Chinese traditional mineral medicine, in which there are lots of soluble mineral elements. In this paper static soaping to leach mineral elements and dry or wet gringding maifan-stone simultaneously leaching mineral elements was studied. The result shows that: much more mineral elements were leached from Maifan-stone by the method that wet vibrating mill than by the method that soaking fine Maifan-stone after dry-milling. And the factors influencing on the mineral concentration such as milling time and solid/liquid mass ratio were investigated. Furthermore, the possibility of wet-milling simultaneously to leaching mineral elements from Maifan-stone to industrialization was analyzed, and pointed out that it has good industrialization foreground.

Abstract: Silica fume is the dust recovered from the smoke released while smelting Si or Si-Fe alloy. The papers gives an overview of silica fume application in concrete, refractory, metallurgy and cement in China, along with some projects as examples; To contrast the situation at abroad, the producing, application, and price of silica fume in China was analyzed, and base on this predicted the future market. It is significant to promote deep research and application for silica fume.
