Abstract: Three-dimensional numerical study is conducted to investigate the heat transfer characteristics for the flow impingement cooling in the narrow passage based on cooling technology of turbine blade. The effects of the jet Reynolds number, impingement distance and initial cross-flow on heat transfer characteristic are investigated. Results show that when other parameters remain unchanged local heat transfer coefficient increases with increase of jet Reynolds number;overall heat transfer effect is reduced by initial cross-flow;there is an optimal distance to the best effect of heat transfer.

Abstract: Shock diffraction over geometric obstacles is performed on two-dimensional cartesian grid using the TVD WAF method in conjunction with the HLLC approximate Riemann solver and dimensional splitting. Present cartesian grid results for popular and challenging two-dimensional shock diffraction problems are presented and compared to experimental photographs. Benchmark and example test cases were chosen to cover a wide variety of Mach numbers for weak and strong shock waves, and for square and circular geometries. The results show that the comparisons between experimental and simulated images are consistent.

Abstract: In this work, the mixing characteristic of ternary diameter particle system in a rectangular spouted bed was carried out three-dimensional discrete element method (DEM). In particular, the standard k- two-equation model and the Beer & Johnson equation were adopted to investigate the influence of turbulence and rolling friction, and Ashton mixing index was adopted to evaluate the dynamic mixing process of the ternary diameter particle systems. The particle velocity profiles, the gas-solid flow patterns, the particles distribution and the effect of gas velocity on mixing are discussed.

Abstract: The heat transfer capability of the underground geothermal heat exchanger (GHE) is influenced by groundwater advection, and heat conduction and groundwater heat advection is coupled. Based on porous medium theory, the GHE’s mathematical model under coupled heat conduction and advection is established with correspond simplifications. Through numerical simulation, the performance of the GHE with groundwater advection is analyzed. The GHE’s heat transfer effect in winter in the continuous operation mode(COM) and the intermittent operation mode(IOM) is compared, furthermore the soil recovering effect in IOM is analyzed, finally the heat recovering time which the soil demands in a system running period is researched. It supplies theory support and technology accumulation for the application of ground-source heat pump (GSHP).
