Abstract: In this paper, the mathematical model for the rapid steam-charging process of the steam accumulator was given based on the theory of equilibrium thermodynamics. The dynamic process has been simulated according to the model, and the effects of different factors on the steam-charging process were analyzed. The results showed that the initial coefficients of filling water had great influence on the time of steam-charging, and the influence of the considered metal’s mass was limited for the steam-charging process.

Abstract: This article take the Dongan 465Q non-supercharged engine as the research object, the simulation model is built by GT-POWER and the corresponding test bench is set up. The simulation error is less than 3%, which indicates that the parameters of this model is correct, and can be used for further study of the gasoline engine. The supercharger, Garrett GT12, is selected by the matching calculation. The non-supercharged 465Q engine is modified as a turbocharged engine. The test results show that the power and the fuel consumption of the turbocharged engine is improved obviously, whose power is increased by 48% and fuel consumption is reduced by 4%.

Abstract: The paper introduces the working principle of the sequential turbo-charging (STC) system of multi-turbocharger. To improve low-load performance and operating economy of the 234V12 diesel engine, a STC system of multi-turbocharger for the diesel engine was designed. Theoretical calculation and experimental research was done on this improved marine diesel engine. Then, a 3-phase STC system is presented by analyzing and comparing the test result and the switching boundary of this system is confirmed. The test results show that the low-load performance is improved obviously by use of multi-turbocharger STC system.

Abstract: Based on dSPACE real-time simulation system and LabVIEW measuring system, semi-physical simulation platform of DC motor speed-adjusting system was established. Fuzzy PID algorithm was designed based on analyzing fuzzy control and PID control for speed-adjusting system. The simulation results show that compared to standard PID algorithm, fuzzy PID algorithm improves the performance of speed-adjusting system for DC motor. On this basis, the speed-adjusting system was developed based on ATmega128 single-chip and original algorithm. Compared with simulation speed-adjusting system, there is no obvious difference on response characteristics.

Abstract: Based on GT-POWER software, simulation model of working process of a long-stroke sequential turbocharging (STC) diesel engine is set up, the calculated result tends to be in agreement with the experimental ones. It proves that the calculation model, method and the selection of the relative parameters are reasonable and the model could predict and improve the performance of the diesel well. To avoid the surging problem and extend its working area, performance parameters of diesel which uses STC with bypass are calculated and compared with experimental data. The paper mainly analyzes the performance and running process of diesel. Finally, the switch point and bypass area of STC are confirmed.

Abstract: In order to ensure diesel engine operating reliably, need to forecast the performance parameters of diesel engine. Grey system theory, a method to research poor information and uncertain system, was approached to sequential turbocharged diesel engine. Grey forecast model of boost pressure of sequential turbocharged diesel engine was established. The precision of the forecast model was inspected by grey relation analysis, it is proved that the model has a good precision and is suitable to forecasting boost pressure. The relatively error of the forecast result is 2.5%. And it establishes the base for forecasting control and failure prediction of diesel engine sequential turbocharging system.
