Abstract: The wind load acted on ship mast at different wind angles of large Reynolds number is numerically simulated in this paper. CFX software was used to analyze the trend of constant and fluctuating forces that the mast surface suffered at different Reynolds numbers. The vortex shedding strength of the wind load around the mast was also analyzed according to the trend of Strouhal number varing with the simulated Reynolds numbers. The results show that the wind angle has an important impact on the lift, drag, and vertical force of the mast. The vertical force of the inclined side wall on the mast can not be ignored, and the angle of direction wind has great impact on the Strouhal number at different Reynolds numbers.

Abstract: A novel controller based on the fuzzy B-spline neural network is presented, which combines the advantages of qualitative defining capability of fuzzy logic, quantitative learning ability of neural networks and excellent local controlling ability of B-spline basis functions, which are being used as fuzzy functions. A hybrid learning algorithm of the controller is proposed as well. The results show that it is feasible to design the fuzzy neural network control of autonomous underwater vehicle by the hybrid learning algorithm.

Abstract: Hydro-Mechanical Transmission System has six basic schemes when the planetary train for power conflux connects to other mechanism with different ways. The paper divides the six basic schemes into two kinds of positive phase and negative phase according to the relationship of output speed and motor speed. If the positive phase planetary train and negative phase planetary train are combined to used as power conflux mechanism, Multi-Range Hydro-Mechanical Transmission System can be realized that has a wide range of infinitely spItalic texteed variable. The paper analyzes the kinematics characteristic and the reasonable value of parameters of planetary train of the eight combined schemes, when the output speed of all ranges follows arithmetic or geometric law. According to the results, the best combined scheme of planetary train for vehicle transmission is determined at last.

Abstract: Using the CFX software and the Large Eddy Simulaion (LES) method, this paper numerically simulates the hydrodynamic characteristics of the flow around a 3d circular cylinder at high Reynolds number (Re=5.6×103, 2.8×104, 1.1×105). The numerical simulation focuses on investigating the vortex shedding angle, the characteristics of the vortex shedding and the vortex tube, the base pressure, the static and the fluctuating drag and lift. The result of calculation shows that the forces of every section along the span of cylinder are symmetrical with respect to the middle section. Moreover the flow around the cylinder obviously appears three dimensional characteristics at high Reynolds number.
