Abstract: Based on the control principle with a constant engine speed, the coordination control process between engine and clutches during launching was analyzed. The maximum engaging speed of clutches and the maximum change rate of throttle were calculated with the maximum degree of jerk as the limited condition, and the control strategy of launch with two clutches was established. Genetic algorithm was used to optimize the distribution coefficient of torque between two clutches. The simulation results show that the control strategy of launch with two clutches using two clutches work together and the reasonable distribution of torque could be advantageous for clutches enduring life.

Abstract: Based on the analysis of Dual clutch transmission (DCT) working principle, the shift kinetics model is established, and the power switching rule between two clutches during upshift and downshift is established by analyzing the torque transmission relationship of vehicle driveline system during shifting, then shift process is tested on actual vehicle with Matlab/Simulink software. Comparing the two different kinds of downshift processes, and illuminating the effect on engine control by various downshift control rules, the downshift process is optimized.

Abstract: This paper focuses on the calibration technology of AMT clutch control. A clutch control model for vehicle starting is established based on clutch engaging speed, and on this basis, an automatic calibration program for clutch control is developed. On-vehicle tests indicate that after automatic calibration, the effect of starting control has been greatly improved, and it can accomplish parameter calibrtion of clutch control briefly and accurately.
