Abstract: This work describes a simulation research concerning dynamic effect of multi-pad hydrostatic thrust bearing having rectangular recess, sector recess, ellipse recess and I-shaped recess in order to solve the loading capacity of the hydrostatic thrust bearing. Three-dimensional pressure field of gap fluid between the rotation worktable and the base has been computed by using the Finite Volume Method. This study theoretically analyzes the influence of recess shape on dynamic effect of the bearing according to computational fluid dynamics and lubricating theory, and the simulation results indicate that an improved characteristic will be affected by recess shape easily. Through this method, the safety of a multi-pad hydrostatic thrust bearing having different cavities can be forecasted, and the optimal loading capacity of such products can be achieved, so it can provide reasonable data for design, lubrication, experience and thermal deformation computation for hydrostatic thrust bearing.

Abstract: Based on a real-world dataset, we developed multivariate time-series model to compare dynamic impacts of quality improvement, apology, compensation and communication on customer satisfaction, after a serious quality failure of mobile phone manufacturing system. The empirical results innovatively reveals that apology-based recovery efforts are the least effective in salvaging customer satisfaction of manufacturing system, with the shortest decay and lowest buildup intensity. In contrast, quality improvement is the most effective, with the highest buildup and longest decay but slowest buildup toward the peak impact point. Compensation has a moderate and stable impact over time. Communications’ impact on customer satisfaction of manufacturing system builds up the quickest, though with mild endurance and magnitude. These findings extend quality improvement literatures in the context of mobile phone manufacturing system

Abstract: Aiming at difficulty of modeling and simulation for dynamic effect in 3D virtual scene system, some methods combined with Multigen creator and Vega Prime are put forward. Firstly, rise-descend and rotation effect are simulated by adopting DOF node. Secondly, screen-show effect is realized with using switch node. Thirdly, some dynamic effects such as rolling wheel are simulated based on multiple textures mapping technology. Finally, object positioning dynamically based on coordinate transforming is proposed.

Abstract: In order to take into account the dynamic effects of molten metal during solidification, a methodology is presented to interface a metal solidification solver (coupled thermal mechanical metallurgical finite elements solver) with a specifically developed flow dynamics solver. (flow dynamics and thermics finite volume solver) The numerical set of tools is designed to be used for the simulation of bimetallic hot rolling mill rolls vertical spincasting. Modeling the industrial process for these products imply certain specifications on the numerical methods used, mainly due to the size of the geometrical domain, low Rossby & Ekman numbers, and a high Reynolds number.

Abstract: In recent years, wire sawing is considered to be a potentially better technology of slicing brittle crystals especially semiconductor, owing to the unmatched advantages of slicing large ingot into thin wafers with high efficiency, fine quality and less kerf loss. This paper analyses the dynamic effect on wire from a variety of excitation and mechanical structure in the process of cutting on the basis of the effects of vibration on slicing wafer quality. A suitable model is built according to Hamilton principle, closed form expressions is present for the steady state response using finite element method. The relation between inherent characteristics of wiresaw and different system parameters is obtained.
