Abstract: Based on the assumption of thin plate of elastic foundation and vibration theory, a method for calculating the fundamental natural frequency of cement slab is presented and the certain relationship between the fundamental natural frequency of cement slab and cement slab boundary condition is discussed. As well, according to the analysis results of fundamental natural frequencies of the typical cement pavements of China, the selected proposals of the excitation frequency of the resonant rubblization machine are presented .The research results provide a theory support to popularize resonant rubblization technology in overlaying and rebuilding engineering of the existed cement pavements in China.

Abstract: For the low power wind turbine, the tower and the generator unit is easy to produce resonance, which will result in bigger amplitude. In this paper, as an example, the authors establish a finite element model for modal analysis by a 55kw direct-drive permanent-magnet generator, to confirm its inherent frequency and vibration mode. Horizontal amplitude on the top of the tower can be received under different external excitation frequency. The results correspond to the codes very well and can provide effective reference data for the design of the wind turbine tower.

Abstract: This paper concerns the electromechanical model for a pendulum-type wave energy converter (PWEC). By introducing a based-excited mass-spring-damper, the motion of PWEC is divided into two parts: the motion of floating body and the relative motion of the pendulum and floating body. The electromechanical model involves the relative motion. Based on the electromechanical model, the circuit optimization is researched in frequency domain. The simulation results show that the device harvests plenty of power when the excitation is in close proximity to natural frequency, and the output power will decay sharply when the excitation is away from natural frequency. The optimal active power is obtained when the total reactance is zero.

Abstract: The aim of the paper is to study the effect of the surface shape and perforation of plastics on sound absorption. Samples with different asperity heights, depths and numbers of holes were prepared by means of CNC milling machine. Experimental measurements of frequency dependencies of the sound absorption coefficient were realized by the transfer function method using Kundt ́s impedance tube at normal incidence of acoustic wave on the investigated materials. The study was performed on two types of polyurethanes. Different factors, that have influence on sound absorption, are evaluated in the conclusion of this work. Both investigated materials are also compared in terms of their ability to absorb sound.

Abstract: The lift-off problem is a very important problem in eddy current testing, which will influence the measurement accuracy. This paper proposes a novel technique for eliminating the probe lift-off in eddy current nondestructive testing. Firstly, the basic principles and characteristics of eddy current testing were introduced. Secondly, this paper analyzed and studied the coil impedance responses caused by the variations of the probe lift-off. Based on simulation results, this paper presents that choosing proper probe excitation frequency can eliminate the disturbance of coil impedance caused by the lift-off, and obtains better results.

Abstract: The dynamic stability behavior of laminated composite shells subjected to hygrothermal loadings are studied in the present investigation. A simple laminated model is developed for the vibration and stability analysis of laminated composite shells subjected to hygrothermal conditions. A computer program based on FEM in MATLAB environment is developed to perform all necessary computations. An eight-node isoparametric element is employed in the present The analysis with five degrees of freedom per node. Element elastic stiffness matrices, mass matrices, geometric stiffness matrix due to mechanical and hygrothermal loads and load vectors are derived using the principle of minimum potential energy. Quantitative results are presented to show the effects of curvature, ply-orientation, degrees of orthotropy and static load factors of laminate on dynamic stability of composite shells for different temperatures and moisture concentrations.
