Abstract: MC9S12DG128 microcontroller as the core, designed a simple automatic resistance tester. Measuring range is 100Ω, 1KΩ, 10KΩ, 10MΩ four gears, accuracy ± (1% reading +2 word); From big to small scanning way, performing the basic measurement and automatic switching function, At the same time, automatically display a decimal point and unit. Key input module to complete the setup by screening resistance and errors, the microcontroller output PWM control servo rotation speed, in order to achieve different potentiometer speed control; Curve display module real-time displays the measured data, and the rotation angle of the potentiometer is displayed in graph form. Using the powerful function of LCD, display Chinese characters, to increase readability, improve the usability of tester. The system is cost-effective, high reliability, has a good application prospect.

Abstract: This paper introduces the working principle, hardware and software designs of ultrasonic distance measurement based on STC89C52RD MCU. The hardware mainly consists of ultrasonic module, liquid crystal display module, alarm module and function key circuit. The system can clearly display the measurement results with high accuracy and can be applied to auto reverse anti-collision alarm system.

Abstract: The single chip microcomputer with digital clock has been designed based on AT89C52, through the design ideas of multi-function digital clock, we have described the system hardware, software and the realization process.The display design and implementation of a year, month, day, time and second is achieved using C language. And the simulation is used by Proteus software. By comparing the actual clock, we have found out the source of the error and have determined the method of adjusting error, and we reduce the error as much as possible, so we can achieve the allowable error range for a practical digital clock in this system.

Abstract: This document introduce about the physical principles of liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma display (PDP), discuss the physical imaging principle of the new style display. The LCD works with lower voltage and power, and lower calories radiation, no nuclear radiation, complete flat surface, restore the picture by the square, a strong ability to anti-interference, appearance stability and not gleam. Its researched here in the aspects of the basic principle about display. In addition, While add a little amount gas of Xe in the Ne, the atom of and atom of Xe will collide frequently, and cause the Xe ionized, then release the ultraviolet ray. this ultraviolet ray excite visible light from the fluorescence powder, thus realize the picture rebuild. Choose different fluorescence powder material, we can carry out three primary color rebuild.

Abstract: A new algorithm is proposed to adjust backlight luminance for local dimming of liquid crystal display (LCD) devices. PSNR (the peak signal-to-noise ratio) =30 is acted as the lowest standard to guarantee the quality of image in the algorithm. Based on the formula of PSNR=30, the square error value of the image distortion is gained. Then, luminance of backlight is gained dynamically by that the maximum gray level minus 1 into the formula proposed in the paper and decreases by one after each trial if the image quality requirement is not satisfied. In order to simplify the calculation, three important gray level values are selected to meet the requirements. The results show that the algorithm can greatly reduce the power consumption with guaranteeing the image quality and furthermore save much time in calculation and be better applied in hardware.

Abstract: In this paper, a design method of a LCM101 liquid crystal display interface circuit is presented. The LCM101 module is a multifunctional and universal type device. It can connect with any MCU or IC interface. So, it is widely used in digital products. The design is implemented by using Verilog HD language. It has been verified on Xilinx Virtex V verification platform and can operate properly. It is a reliable and less resource utilization design. Besides, a new element, which can satisfy the delay time is given in the design. Operation principle, design method and simulation wave will be provided in the body of the paper.

Abstract: A transflective dual-mode liquid crystal display (LCD) featuring single-cell-gap structure has been proposed in this paper. Unlike transflective single-mode LCDs, dual-mode LCD can work as either monostable transmissive or bistable reflective LCDs in a sense that two different modes of display are unified in one device. We have confirmed that it has not only desirable electro-optical performance but also longtime memory ability.

Abstract: The display colorimetric accuracy is a key factor to ensure printing quality. The main mission for display’s color management is to compute its display color to get accurate colorimetric characterization, namely to ascertain the converting relationship between the RGB color data and their corresponding CIE X Y Z values. The related color values of EIZO, Mac and common PC displays were measured in the experiment, fitted the parameter, and computed the displayed color with gain-offset-gamma(GOG)model.Two-Primary Crosstalk (TPC) model, Piecewise Partition (PP)model. The three models were analyzed and compared with the measurement values. The model performance was assessed using 729 color samples uniformly distributed on the RGB display gamut. Compare the measured values and computed values and then find the more precise way to determine the display’s colorimetric characterization.

Abstract: This study develops a highly-efficient light-guide plate for edge lighting backlight module that has no optical films. The light guide plate is designed to control the angle of the incident rays to the top surface from light source, to get the highest uniformity of intensity for thin edge lighting backlight system applications. The micro-prisms of pyramidal shape on the top surface can highly-efficient collimate with the light rays. Another micro-prism of v-cut shape on the bottom surface can reflect the incident light into the front direction and mixing the rays in the lightguide plate with the high uniformity. A novel design concept of the v-cut is the regular density varies of the cut in the LGP. The modeling simulation program, employing a Monte Carlo method based on TracePro software, has optimized the shape of the pyramidal micro-prisms on the top surface and the density distribution condition of the v-cut micro-prisms on the bottom surface, also the multiple scattering characteristics. The two types of the micro-prisms at the top and bottom surface can be highly recommended for the uniformity of the brightness via the optimal design process. Future work is warranted on improving the optical efficiency by using light-emitting diodes as a light source. The backlight module will allow us to increase the optical efficiency and to lower the total cost in portable LCD applications. The study confirms that a uniformity of brightness can be achieved without using any optical films, resulting in a high uniformity of 84%.
