Abstract: Monitoring the electric power consumption of machines in manufacturing becomes more and more important due to rising electricity costs and environmental awareness. This paper proposes a cost-efficient monitoring concept requiring significantly fewer electricity meters. Power consumption of several machines is monitored aggregately and then broken down into the estimated power consumption of each machine by means of a disaggregation procedure utilizing machine data acquisition. In this paper the disaggregation procedure is presented, uncertainty limitations are discussed and an application example of an industrial environment is given.

Abstract: Tow kinds of leisure vehicles are considered here, private car or parking & riding on subway. A case of Xianlin University City in Nanjing is chosen to help train and test a BP neural network, based on which multivariate linear regression assists to research the way of how to raise the use of parking & riding on subway. A four-layered structure, composed of those influencing factors, is designed first for establishing a neuron model which will help choose from driving or parking & riding on subway. This structure includes 6 indexes and 11 neurons. Then, a BP neural network trained and tested with the data from the case of the Xianlin University in Nanjing, consists of 3 layers with 15 nodes in the middle with the error less than 10-3. The original data are gained by Delphi technique, questionnaire, measurement and calculation. Finally, some conclusions are gained. Its considered necessary to continue improving the parking conditions around leisure places, especially for those health and amusement ones. Its also important to focus on the exit locations of subway stations, the route of underpass and the inner circumstance there. The real distance for foot to the destination is not so crucial as thought before, while the perceptible one plays a role. Its a good way to inform those private cars owners the conditions of the transportation congestions before their decisions on the leisure vehicles.

Abstract: To ensure a smooth production, some stability indicators, including mean (μ), standard deviation (σ), standard deviation coefficient (V), as well as the probability (P) of variable values that fall within the scope of the standard were introduced to evaluate and to control the chemical composition and mechanical properties of seamless gas cylinder 30CrMo-M. Stability levels were defined according to the enterprise performance appraisal system. By using SPSS and MATLAB software, a regression equation was established that evolved chemical composition, tensile strength, yield strength and elongation. Tensile strength and yield strength are positive correlated with C, Si, Mn, and elongation is just the opposite. According to the stability indicators and regression equations, the entire mechanical properties meet the standard requirements by reducing Mn, Si content by 0.02%, while maintaining C content constant. According to the stability indicators, the best heat treatment system, quenching at 930 ~ 935°C for 40 minutes and tempering at 580 ~ 595 °C for 90 minutes, was established.

Abstract: During the process of plunge grinding, a test piece can be axially grooved with thermocouple embedded, thermo-electromotive force will be conducted through collecting ring and then after A/D converting, data will be digitally acquired and online test will be realized. Based on the thermal theories, this paper presents a simple model to calculate the workpiece’s contact zone temperature during plunge grinding process. This model can be used to predict and calculate the grinding temperature easily. An empirical formula calculating the temperature of the grinding contact surface had been obtained through multivariate linear regression analysis experiments. The thermometric system showed in this paper had solved the knotty problem that the grinding temperature was very difficult to measure for plunge grinding. Compared with traditional method, the testing method adopted by the author will give more accurate result and more closely represent the test piece situation. The results of the computer simulation and the experiments proved the exactitude of the thermal model and the feasibility of the thermometric system.
