Abstract: In this study, nano-titanium films of different thickness were deposited. By adjusting it is found that when the thickness of the titanium films was in the nano-scale, the electric resistivity of the titanium films decreased. Furthermore, the deposited titanium was transformed into titanium oxide by maintain an oxygen atmosphere and using a rapid annealing furnace during sputtering. When oxidized nano titanium film is sputtered on a low-electric-resistive metal thin film, the photo-electronic properties of Nano-thin film will be enhanced.

Abstract: Nanostructured titanium (nTi) with essential enhanced strength and fatigue characteristics is an advanced material for dental implant applications. Nano Ti is commercially pure titanium, that was nanostructured by a special technique of severe plastic deformation. It is bio inert, does not contain even potentially toxic or allergenetic additives and has significantly higher specific strength properties than any other titanium applied in dental implants. Cylindrical threaded screw implants Nanoimplant® sized 2.4 mm in diameter and 12 mm in length were made from nTi. It is the first application of nTi dental implant in the world reported. Recently more than 250 successful clinical applications dealing with surgery on the front teeth were carried out. No complications were noticed during the early postoperative period and early loading. Laboratory cytocompatibility tests undertaken so far on mice fibroblast cells have indicated that nanocrystalline Ti surface has a significantly better property for cell colonisation and healing of tissue consequently.

Abstract: A carbon foam with high strength and high thermal conductivity was prepared through the incorporation of nano-titanium particle into mesophase pitch precursor. Results show that titanium act as catalysts to accelerate the graphitization of carbon, promote more perfect and larger crystallites and enhance the conductive and mechanical properties. Test results reveal that titanium doped carbon foam (TDCF) has excellent compressive strength and high thermal conductivity, with highest values reaching 29.6 MPa and 117.8 Wm-1 K-1 for a titanium concentration of 12 wt% in the precursor materials. More compact struts and cell walls stacked by more uniform were observed by scanning electron microscope in carbon foam. Correlation between the content of dopant and the properties and microstructure of TDCF was discussed.
