Abstract: The main objective of this article is to demonstrate the importance and necessity of applying amorphous gabions around the pillars of the continental bridge, to counteract the impact of scour. For the development of the research, the local scour that occurs in the pillars of the Continental Bridge (Madre de Dios, Peru) was calculated, analyzed and compared for return periods of 100 and 500 years; The Hec Ras software was used to perform the hydraulic modeling. The development of the article was accomplished by compiling scour calculation methodologies, such as the Colorado State University (CSU) method. Additionally, it was possible to reach the conclusion that, when working with the CSU method, more real values are obtained in terms of local scour.

Abstract: Wet centrifugal separation process is used to purify diatomite by analyzing the properties of diatomite raw ore in Linjiang city, Jilin province. Experimental results determine the affecting sorting important indicators, including scrubbing agent and dosage, sieving mesh, centrifugal separation. The concentration of SiO2 in the final diatomite is 86.76%, reaching primary soil standard. Compared with gravity sedimentation purification process, new technology method saves much time and achieves the ideal separation effect.

Abstract: The internal structure of diatomite has nanometer-level micropore and fine adsorptivity, but internal porosities of crude diatomite were blocked by impurities which should be removed. The characteristics of original and scrubbed diatomite were compared by SEM,TEM,specific surface area analyzer and FT-IR. The test results indicated that the SiO2 content of scrubbed diatomite increased from 80.61% to 89.56%, specific surface area increased from 7.96 m2/g to 14.39 m2/g and the external activity improved, and the adsorption of performance of scrubbed diatomite was better than that of original diatomite.

Abstract: We present a new type of wafer probe card with resin film consisting of two beams. Resin film is embedded on both sides of the probe beam, having a thickness of 4 [μm] and made from polyimide. This proposed probe enables compliant structures with large overdrive to ensure high durability of the structure and controllable scrub motion to assure cleaning process. In this study, Matrix method is introduced for theoretical studies of the probe structure and commercial finite element code is used. Electrical contact resistance is determined by theoretical studies based on Holm's theory and experimentally by our measurement instrumentation respectively. The structure is proven theoretically to get appropriate scrub motion when it undergoes a large overdrive with preferable exhibited contact force. Moreover, all of these mechanical characteristics can be varied to know the values of the character of probes. The methodology having one of the most preferable characters of the contact-probe had been achieved.
