Already in 1983, Trans Tech Publications noticed there was a need to create an overview of books covering topics in Engineering research and Materials Science.
This project resulted in a collection of 45 books published from 1983 to 2004.
Due to the high speed of technical progress all scientific ideas, which seemed impracticable at that time, can still be implemented now by using modern technologies, equipment and processes. And above all, it gives insight into how these techniques continued to be important nowadays.
These featured books represent publications that are only available through this collection and are therefore complimentary to the journal and book program available on Scientific.net.
